"I will never leave him. It will be this, always, for as long as he will let me."
Reading my son's annotated school copy of Savage the Bones and getting insight on his critical thinking skills. 👏👏👏🙌❤️ #englishteachermom
When, in the first chapter, the character's aunt's favorite author is Louise Erdrich. 😍
I've been a fan of Trevor Noah for a while, but now I'm a SUPER fan of Trevor Noah. His voice, his experience, his insight... it's a gift that this country does not deserve. Everyone shut up and listen to him.
"What is the world's greatest lie?" the little boy asks. The old man replies, "It's this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate.
Just started on Audible today. Sucked me right in!

This book: so beautifully written, so many layers, so powerful.
Hoping for rain today so I can make in dent in this one. One week until book club.
A friend finished this yesterday and left it on my doorstep just now so I can read it, then meet her for Manhattans to discuss. 😍
Three-fourths through and I'm 😭😭😭😭😭😭.
Good Reads review.
Book Two of the Neapolitan Novels had me screaming and sobbing. Two girls trying to navigate adolescence, friendship, love, jealousy, expectations, education...with literally zero adult guidance. I am going to wait a few days before starting Book Three so that my family don't think that I've totally abandoned them. Can't wait to see how HBO does with Book One.
Almost to the end and I'm overwhelmed with how much I love this novel. Can't wait for the HBO series next month. It's in Italian with subtitles!!
Not life changing but a good palate cleanser in between heavier reads.
I had fun reading through this today.
How in world have I never read this before?
Starting tomorrow.
Just finished reading The Paris Wife, so it only seem getting to follow it up with The Sun Also Rises. She earned this dedication and deserved it.
Seven day FB challenge pick. 2# of 2 for this day. Both John Irving.
I loved it. And now I'm really mad at and really sorry for Ernest Hemmingway. And now I'm going to go reread The Sun Also Rises and all the Nick Adams stories.
