Kicking off #SummerReading2022 with Reread of my favorite #SummerReading2021 and a Manicure to match. My pick for #IRLBookClub. Should be a fun discussion.

I read 70 Books this Summer! Hard to decide a definitive Top List but these were my favorites. But No 1 Summer Read was The Guncle. I literally told everyone I knew and some random strangers about it. Talked about it all Summer long.
And that's a wrap‼

#Pemberlittens finished this reading Jane Austen this Summer. Missing #chapteraday readalongs. I've still more #Austenesque on my shelves.
Emily of Deep Valley is another old friend.

I found Truly Devious enjoyable. Cliffhanger ending. But kinda just wanted to know the ending. My favorite Podcast Fictional Hangover covered them so I listened those instead of reading Books 2 & 3. #somanybooksneverenoughtime
Fictional Hangover Book Club finished Vampire Academy & has moved on to Bloodlines which I like better.
Others were Readalongs and Friends Recommendations.

Discovered Heartstopper Series this Summer and LOVED IT!
Also did several rereads of books before next in Series came out: Simon Snow and Long Call. Reticence just because I love it so much.
Also impulse audiobooks and and books with pretty dresses.

Bit dated. Silly young women waiting around for a men to notice them, marry them,
husband's expecting them to set at home while they play golf. I Do always like RP's spunky Women of a Certain Age. Mostly I read RP for the settings of Scotland and the Gardens. As a gardener in Oklahoma where it was 100°F this summer, Envious of characters rising at 8:30am and out to work in the garden by 10am.

Tomorrow starts Banned Books Week. I finished several of the #top10challengedbooks over the Summer along with #irlbookclub Reads.📚

The Siren was a Twisty mystery. While the cover looks like light Summer Reading it does have some very dark moments which include Sexual Assault.
It was my next to last read of #SummerReading2021 - since Litsy only lets you Post one picture at a time. It's going to take more than Post. 😉
"ON VACATION, YOU can be anyone you want. Like a good book or an incredible outfit, being on vacation transports you into another version of yourself."
From that opening line I was hooked. And it just got better and better.

Thinking I can squeeze another into #SummerReading2021. I bought Kindle book on Sale for 3.99 earlier in the Summer. Spent this month Audible Credit on it. So I could swap back and forth.
