Yeeeeessss! I LOVE Rose Lerner and since I got a library card for a second local library system, I finally gained access to the second & third books in Lively St. Lemeston series. 💖

Finished a few books over the weekend and I really liked all three of them!
So glad my library finally got this one and my hold came in!! Three lovely historical romance novellas by three of my favorite historical romance writers—and I loved all three! I read most of it last night and then finished this morning when I decided to stay in bed instead of trying to be productive this morning. 💖📚
Finished this one yesterday and found it to be quite compelling-going to booktalk to my 7th & 8th graders tomorrow!
Very powerful older middle grade historical fiction about the Partition of India and Pakistan.
Starting a new book before bed—to add to the pile of 3-4 books I‘m currently reading. 😳
I LOVE this series—absolutely some of my favorite contemporary romances. The second novel in the series is my favorite but I also really enjoyed this one. Hopeful that there will be some spinoffs for a few of the great minor characters. 💖
Accessible, smart, powerful look at politics, pop culture, sex, friendship, police violence, and more from a brilliant Black feminist writer, professor, and speaker.
So fun and sweet! Reminds me of Unusual Chickens a little in the best way. 💖
This book is breaking my heart and striking a lot of familiar chords for me, both as a grown-up working with anxious teens and as an anxious person who was once an anxious teen.
Content, sleepy cat and a gorgeous little book--what could be better?
Stayed up a bit too late for a night before I have leave quite early for jury duty to finish this delicious new novel. Took me a bit to sink into it but once I got going, it was everything I wanted--full of all the strangeness, oddities, and rich characters of a good Victorian novel (or historical fiction about that fascinating era).
Making small but steady progress on my middle grade catch up! This wintery mystery was a lovely treat to begin the weekend.
Bedtime reading tonight-excited for this one! Enjoying Shabnam's narration already. :)
Interesting and promising debut contemporary YA novel! Still thinking about it after finishing it this morning.
Total middle grade memoir perfection. As always I adore LeUyen Pham's art. Shannon Hale has tapped into her own history to share a story that is both very personal and incredibly universal.
Starting on my mini "middle grade catch-up quest" while taking a long walk to buy cat food.
A lovely coming of age novel examining faith, family, loss, and just growing up. A thoughtful and emotionally resonant summer read.
Nothing like a good book, beautiful weather, and time with a beloved community.
Glad I decided to start an entertaining audiobook for my late afternoon walk--as now I'm waiting in the long, twisting line at the famous (and excellent) local ice cream shop.
A near perfect summery teen rom com - which is no easy feat to achieve! So adorable but also thoughtful and full of cultural specificity and sympathetic characters. Also, I can fully imagine the movie trailer for this--make it happen!
Such a fascinating look at gender, sex, and American culture. Wade avoids buying into common stereotypes and digs beyond the headlines about college kids and hooking up to explore the larger cultural issues at play.
Finally reading this one via audiobook to get ready for the Wonder Woman movie!!
Oh, my Julie, I love you so. And I love a quiet but rich coming of age with a little mystery twist.
Starting a new book before bed. 😺📖😴Also realizing I haven't updated Litsy for my last few books! Oops!
Feels like an appropriate book to read in line to go into the Hirshhorn Museum today. 🙂👩🏾🎨
Not-so-still life: Bedtime reading and a cat very obsessed with catching her tail.
Exciting book mail today!
Great idea, fascinating people. Still unsure about the final product.
So lovely! I especially like the expressive illustrations
Down with rigid gender norms, anti-monster bias, and the monarchy! Let's build something new! ✊🏽❤
Let my Saturday coffee shop camp out continue with this delicious soup and next book!
A delightful contemporary romance/coming of age tale with a touch of magic, complicated mom-daughter relationship, and delicious descriptions.
At a fav local indie bookstore for trivia tonight and could resist treating myself to this! Excited to read soon!
Unexpectedly INTERESTING spinster blue stocking governesses are very on brand for both this book series and me. 🔍
Fun, epic space drama with dinner. 🍲🚀
I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as A Bollywood Affair but it was a lovely contemporary romance and I devoured it in about 24 hours.
Lovely new novel with great examinations of race, class, and gender in contexts of school, friendship, urban geography, and cross-generational relationships within families and communities.
Lumberjanes, tea, and red velvet cupcake--a good way to end the day.
Australian fiction remains super interesting and unusual, as evidenced by this odd, lovely, and intense book!
"Where we lived was not a place where good stories began, but a place where bad stories retreated, like small mongrel dogs bitten by much larger, thoroughbred ones."
Made soup and continued reading my first Beverly Jenkins romance! Trying to use this month to read romance authors I've been meaning to try for a long time. ❤
So fun! Am already fond of all our heroes, but especially America Chavez 😍!
