Juniper: Beyond the Veil | Sheesha Shapiro
Pickpick

Juniper, the second book in the Vanishing Veil series by Sheesha Shapiro, is equally as good as the first book, Rowan.

This series is fast-paced, but doesn't lose you. Full of magic, secrets, bad guys, love, and passion, Shapiro keeps you turning the page to find out more.

Rowan: Through the Veil | Sheesha Shapiro

Since Rowan is a novella, I don't want to give too much away, but I will say this: there are hot guys, very sexy encounters, and magic. What more could you ask for in a book?

Though many seem to enjoy it, I could not get through The Crowns of Croswald by D. E. Night. For one thing, it jumped around a lot. I had a hard time following along with what was happening. Details were not explained in a timely manner, but rather given far after they were needed. For another thing, it came off as a lesser version of Harry Potter. Some of the names of books and shops felt like cheap imitations.

"If a book is well written I always find it too short." - Jane Austen

Jane Austen could not have expressed this better. This is the exact sentiment I have for The Sun is Also a Star, written by Nicola Yoon.

After the last historical fiction book I read and was sadly disappointed with, I am so happy to say I found a much better one. A. Much. Better. One.

This is the book that started my love for James Rollins. It's action packed and just amazing. A must read all the way!

I loved this book! My anxiety was actually rising while reading it because I kept imagining myself in the situation of the main character, lost in the woods - alone. King did a great job creating a strong female character. 💪

I was really excited to read this book, but honestly, it was disappointing. I felt like there should have been more action involved. As another reviewer on here said, there are better historical fiction books out there.
