So much hype about this book. I read it to the end and I just did not like it. Anyone else feel the same?

Great love story BUT BEWARE! If you read the audiobook be sure to use headphones...it can get kind of embarrassing when they fall into full on sex scenes....multiple times...lol. You don't want to traumatize the kids.

Very serious subject. It was well done but man the ending bothered me. I won't say more so as not to spoil it.

It wasn't a horrible book but it just took FOREVER to get to the point. And then after All the twists and turns it wrapped up in the last 20 pages. Felt like it could have been more concise? Opinions?

FeastOfFiction I just finished it. I felt the same way. Did you roll your eyes at how over-dramatic Monica was? 6y

Ok so I didn't know what I was picking up. What a story. It's very relevant to today's teenagers. The topic was hard to read sometimes, as a mother of three boys but very insightful. An easy quick read!

This is the second book I'm having a hard time getting into. Thoughts?

Redwritinghood Still sitting on my shelf. 6y
mommymendes I can't even get into another 50 pages. It's going back on the shelf. I don't want to get in a slump or waste reading time. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m all for ditching a book that you don‘t enjoy. I‘m about 150 pages in, though, and have enjoyed all of it. To each their own! 😎 6y
mommymendes @BarbaraTheBibliophage I am happy to hear that. Maybe I just need to go back to it another time. I am very much a mood reader. Knowing you are enjoying it gives me hope that maybe I'm just not in the right mood. Happy Reading! What's next on your list? 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘ve got three going right now. Haven‘t quite determined what‘s next. How‘s your next book going? 6y

I am not a fan of reading more than one book at a time but the first two books I started this year were heading me into a slump. I'm going to tackle another 50 pages each to see if it gets better. Anyone have any insight. Tell me it's worth continuing!

thevictoriousone I personally enjoyed this one, but I think the series as a whole went a bit downhill with the second one. The first one was great though. 6y

Ok so this book just ripped my heart out. First of all it deals with homelessness, something that is on my communities radar. To give panhandlers money or not? Buy them some food instead? Is it a mental health issue, drug addiction or bad luck? And then.... love! Is your first love really the only love?
What if you had to choose between your current love and your first love? How do you choose? Life really isn't fair!

My first Ruth Ware book. I was NOT disappointed. It was a fast read and I couldn't turn those pages quick enough. The description of the break in at the beginning had me a tad fearful to be home alone.

Megabooks I enjoyed this too! 6y
CoffeeNBooks I just read In a Dark, Dark Wood, my first Ruth Ware book- this one's on my January TBR stack! 6y
mommymendes @CoffeeNBooks I have that one on my list to read and also her latest one. I read the Lying Game a d although it was good it was a tad slow for my liking. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Woman in Cabin 10! 6y
Lcsmcat I read this as an audiobook last year. It made my commute fly by! 6y

I just recently found this app via Epic Reads. I have been using Instagram to log my reading and to follow what others are into. I will continue to do that but am excited for this platform that is ONLY about books. I will post some of my recent 2018 reads and opinions and start posting my 2019 reads as I get through them. I set a goal for myself of 52 books this year. I am excited for what this community has to offer!

Would you want to know the date you would die? The four siblings in this book are told the day will die. Reading this book was a complete mind f***. Although I have to be honest...it kept me engaged through the first 3/4 of the book but that last 1/4 was torture. Not what I expected. But I still LOVED IT. Can't say too much more because of spoilers. Anyone else that has read it? Thoughts?
#2018reads

Cinfhen Seems to be a popular opinion ~ people were disappointed with the last 1/4. I loved this book but agree some siblings stories were more compelling 6y
mommymendes @Cinfhen yes sibling #4 was snooze fest for me. Which sibling part did you like least? 6y
Cinfhen I liked the first 2. The brother who went to SF and the sister who was in Vegas 6y
mommymendes @Cinfhen I agree, those were my favorite! 6y
Bookladylinda I totally agree with you guys! I loved the concept of the story. 6y

Believe it or not this was my first try at a psychological thriller. It wasn't what I expected. Slow read, forced myself to finish. Hoping I find a psychological thriller that meets the hype.
