Absolutely amazing! I really hope the movie does it justice bc this book just took hold of my heart and didn‘t let go until the very end. Beautifully written and I adored the characters!
I‘m only 5 chapters in and I am loving this fun summer mystery! Can‘t wait to find out what happens... I already can‘t put it down. This is the kind of book that‘s going to keep me up all night.
UPDATE: 24 hours later and I‘m almost done with this book. It‘s so good! What a great weekend read!
So, I bought a few things this weekend. At least they were all on sale 🤷🏻♀️ @Aubrieoakley help me...
Small haul from yesterday for both my reader and writer sides. Really excited about #Dumplin bc I‘ve heard such great things. Leigh Bardugo is such a beautiful writer, I am confident that #ShadowandBone is going to be amazing! (And who doesn‘t need a mini Shakespeare sticky note?!)
Welcome a brand new Litten @Aubrieoakley !
A perfect blend of adventure and hope, strength and heartbreak, with a strong female lead. This fantasy adventure is very creative and while it is set in a post-war revolution, Kayla Olson definitely holds her own with new ideas and her absolutely amazing writing style. This is one I‘ll definitely read again.
Note: Leonardo DiCaprio‘s production company has already scooped up the rights to the film. 🤩
I read this when it first came out last year (had it on pre-order bc I was so excited), and it did not disappoint. This is one of the few books that I have purposely read a little slower than I normally would bc I truly did not want to miss a thing. This book was so beautifully written it‘s impossible not to feel the emotion behind it. One of Green‘s best and an instant favorite of mine.
I‘m really not a big reader of biographies or autobiographies, but this is one of the best books I‘ve ever read. I read this years ago & there‘s a reason why it still sits on my “favorites” shelf. It‘s so interesting and it truly shows what a strong woman Lucille Ball was & all that she had to overcome.
We‘ve all heard never to judge a book by its cover, but in this case, you totally can and should. The cover is one of the most beautiful book jackets I‘ve ever seen, and the story is one of the most captivating I‘ve ever read.
This book had me hooked from the start and I adored getting to know these “anti-heroes.” As excited as I am to start the sequel, I was also a little sad to see the first part of the story end. I could‘ve stayed forever.
