The Wife Between Us | Sarah Pekkanen, Greer Hendricks

Mehso-so

Just finished. Loads of my friends raved about it, but I honestly wasn‘t a fan. Maybe because it was so overhyped, or maybe because I felt it was predictable; I blew through it and enjoyed it, but it wasn‘t riveting. Would be a good beach or plane read, for sure. Am I alone in this?

We need to discuss how I‘m only now discovering the kindred spirits of the Teen Creeps podcast, who did an entire episode of one of my favorite middle school series: Fear Street Saga. I loved the episode so much that I re-purchased them as a guilty pleasure. #teencreeps #rlstine #fearstreet #fearstreetsaga

Finished Johnny Truant‘s introduction for the #houseofleaves book club and I‘m already acting like this while trying to collect my thoughts in a blog post. Sigh. My second read-through is more eye-opening than my first.

Back in my rotation now that I‘ve finished “The Stranger Beside Me”. I‘ll be reading this concurrently with “House of Leaves”, whose book club read-along starts tomorrow!

Picked up another #annrule book at B&N yesterday because they‘re dirt cheap (especially with my discount) and I‘m in love with her #truecrime writing style after nearly completing The Stranger Beside Me. This one seems like a depressing page turner.

AmyG This book is awesome. 7y

Important question: should I read this before or after my #houseofleaves re-read for MZD‘s book club? Or during? Things that keep you up at night...

OSChamberlain I definitely recommend before. It makes Johnny‘s rambling Soliloquies make so much more sense. 7y

Has everyone joined the #houseofleaves book club over on Facebook, hosted by the author himself? I‘m so excited to re-read my all-time favorite book that I could burst.

Any fellow #murderinos here on Litsy? I just downloaded my first book on the bingo board - The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule - and can‘t wait to dig in. I‘ve got a thing for True Crime and crossing things off lists, so this should be a fun challenge.

Pickpick

Here‘s something I would never have picked up for myself, and if I had, I never thought I‘d like it. In fact, I had this book in my Amazon cart around Christmas and pulled it off after deciding it wasn‘t my thing. Fast forward a month and I used a B&N discount to get it for a decent price, only to fall in love with the entire world and characters. Worth checking out even if it‘s not normally your bag! #acourtofthornsandroses
