Daughter of the Pirate King has been my absolute favorite read this year. If you like YA and pirates it is a must read! I devoured this book so quickly! I managed to snag an ARC of the sequel and will hopefully be reading it next week!

I haven't posted this photo on #bookstagram yet because I've been having a hard time giving this book a _/5 star rating. For about the first third of the book I was intrigued, but not in love. The second third of the book I spent kind of bored and very underwhelmed. That last third blew me away though. Everything just suddenly kicks off and pulls together. I do recommend this one!

I absolutely LOVED this book, but I was confused about some important parts to the story. I took forever to understand Thread-family and even then I don't think I fully understand. The Cahr Awen also confused me, but I think that's intentional.

I loved Safi and Iseult's relationship, I love Merik. My absolute favorite character is Aeduan. I'm still trying to decide if the other is going to make him a good guy or a bad guy in the end.
