I've heard about this one but never actually checked it out.
I've read this before, rereading for research.
How tempting to wish to be encased,/to have a hardened shell, to appear frightening enough/not to suffer the closeness that leads to harm.
People who move to New York always make the same mistake...They come looking for magic, whether evil or good, and nothing will convince them it isn't here.

I don't know what it was about this book that I liked, but please read it. Okay, okay it was the weirdness of it that grabbed me.

My eyes got a little watery on this one. Probably dust in my eye. Or emotions.
What she liked most about their friendship was how much space there was for silence, the kind of quiet she'd never found with girls her age.

Numbers were also his way of reaching out into the world. They were safe, a source of comfort.
I'd like to pretend that I understand the poems in this collection, but I don't let that stop me from seeing all of its yummy goodness
This novel was fantastic. Get into it.
If you were into Tamagotchis back in the day, give this book a try.

I liked some of the stories in this collection.
He showed me his fantastic library first, and that helped me warm to him a little.
