Heard good things so giving it a go on my hols
I'd read a lot of biographies so fancied something different for a change and this book didnt disappoint. Great read looking at how love can massively influence your life choices for the good and bad....
Love the series and love the book. Started tea time yesterday and finished this afternoon. Writing is so descriptive you can visualise everything and photos make it extra special
This is 2nd book I've read by this author (1 after other) and did not disappoint. Her style of autobiographical ans observation is great. Love this book and will be investing in her others asap
My last book of 2020! Really enjoyed the article style as made it easy to read in short bites or for hrs on end. Some really interesting topics too. Looking forward to reading more by this writer
Amazing book. Each chapter is about a different character but they are all linked to each other in some way. Had me gripped from the first page to the last!
A really good read. Bit overly descriptive in places for me but very inspirational read and what you can achieve if just keep putting 1 foot in front of the other!
Really loved this book. Having suffered with anxiety at different times of my life I found it really informative but without over complicating or preaching! I will definitely be reading more of Ruby Wax books in future
Amazing Book!! Every chapter was thought provoking (as you can see from my many post it notes). Whether your a woman trying to rise in the corporate world or dedicated to raising children this is a must read. We should all lean in - all the way!
Recommended to me so giving it a go!
First Terry Pratchett I've ever read and really enjoyed it. Love idea of good vs evil but that everyone has capacity to be a little of both. Easy reading!
Fancied a short fantastical read and wasn't disappointed. Definitely give the rest of this series and the Twisted Disney tales as bit of adult twist on fairytales
I do not want to ruin this story for anyone so will describe the book by only saying it is; heart breaking, harrowing, brutal, honest, awe inspiring and highlights the importance of family!
Not particularly festive given subject is Auschwitz but think will be interesting and awe inspiring.
I have to say I found this book a little disappointing as while it was quite informative it left me feeling flat. There were some interesting points but to be honest I could have read the 2 page conclusion and have been equally satisfied.
Looking forward to this insight into Introverts. Always thought was an extrovert but now not so sure...
I'm a little obsessed with autobiographies at the moment
Not often I can't put a book down but this one was so funny and heartfelt and interesting that I started and finished it the same day! Can't praise this book enough for an honest and genuine autobiography
Amazing! Tackles loneliness in a whole new way reminding us it is not just the elderly this effects. You can be stood in a room full of people and still feel such loneliness!
AMAZING!! Loved the style of testimonies from other people so you really get to know the main character through eyes of those around her. Had me so gripped read in one sitting. Can't wait for a 2nd novel from Billie Erin
This book was different to anything I'd read before in terms of its honesty and certainly made a lot of sense. Whether needed to be a whole book or more just a few blog postings I'm not sure but themes really guided you through
Book based around loneliness...really looking forward to this
So far this book is making a lot of sense...
Decided to go classic for my next book as haven't read it since English class when I was 15 years old, which scarily is just over 20 years ago
This one took me a while just because life kept getting the way of reading. World War Z the movie is one of my favourite films so I loved this book supposedly written during and after telling accounts of different people from the war. It's fairly graphic in places but not overly ghoulish. Brilliant read for anyone who loves a good Zombie tale
Written by a friends daughter can't wait to start reading this!
Amazing book full of sadness and love but more than anything makes you think about how we shouldn't be trying make everyone equal but respecting people for their differences not in spite of them
Wanted a bit of make believe fantasy and love World War Z film! Zombies are coming!!
If you like the TV series then this book with not disappoint mirroring the themes of violence, biking freedom, loyalty and brotherhood.
Not my normal read but really enjoyed this book as lovely story set against a seaside back drop. Perfect holiday or Sunday afternoon read
Enjoying Fearne Cotton's 'Happy' book with my journal so can scribble down handy hints 📚
Anyone else read this book? I'm a quarter of the way in and really not feeling it but don't know whether to walk away or persevere!
Brilliant book! Loved the TV series and any documentary Mr Theroux does so finding this book for 20p in a charity shop was a bonus. Lots of short stories about different characters he has met over the years so both a recap and new material.
Not my favourite comic but excellent book. Equal measure of laughs and real human interest. Would definitely read a second book if one ever comes out. Like fact each chapter a short story in own right so easy pick up and put down - although read whole thing in a day.
Started this book today and really not getting into it. Can't decide whether to abandon it or keep going?
Sadly I was a little disappointed by this book as despite reviews about its hilarity I found it pretty bland. There were some good parts but for me it all felt a bit disjointed and like the ending was rushed together.
My boyfriend bought for me as knows I like history not realising it was aimed at younger people. Even so I loved it and actually found it a nice easy light read between my usual thrillers. Plus I learnt some things about history
My next book of choice as wanted something light hearted although not sure that's what this book will be
Excellent. This sequel did not disappoint with its clever writing and intertwining story lines. The fact the whole tale is playing out from different perspectives makes it really interesting and rounded. Can't wait for the third book on 2018
Brilliant book with lots of twists and 'oh my god' moments where you think you've got it all sussed and changes suddenly. Already started the sequel
Easy read but fairly predictable. There were times where felt like situations were thrown in to shock you but didn't really make sense based on the character descriptions.
'Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast'
Loved this book and got completely absorbed in it to the point I was up until 4am one night as couldn't put it down. Its not particularly taxing and the ending is a bit predictable but nice easy read for distressing at the end of a tiring day.
