Do you like to read holiday-themed books? I wrote a blog post about different holiday readers depending on your favourite genre! Feel free to check it out :) https://www.bookfreakgeek.com/single-post/2017/12/12/Holiday-Books-For-Every-Rea...
I did a buddy read of this books and really enjoyed it! Looking forward to the sequel in a few weeks 😊 The book has a decent pace, lots of intrigue, with lots of tension filled relationships. The one thing I wasn‘t entirely ok with was the aggressive male sexual harassment and assault in a few scenes. I don‘t think it was necessary and seemed misplaced. :/

Just started reading this last night! What's your #currentread? 😊💞
"She looked at them, at the three males who meant everything—more than everything. Then she smiled with every last shred of courage, of desperation, of hope for the glimmer of that glorious future. “Let‘s go rattle the stars."

I just finished this book last night and loved it! Such a great sequel to the Star Touched Queen. It was a quick read, and if you like magic, story telling and a little bit of romance then this is a book you'll enjoy! 4/5 ⭐️
I absolutely loved this book! Good mystery that will keep you guessing, and the characters are awesome! Also a quick read 👍🏻9/10 ⭐️
This book has been on my to be read list FOREVER. I'm super guilty of having every intention of reading a book, but then getting distracting by other books! 🙊🤷🏻♀️🙊
This book was ok. Really intriguing premise, but for the 150 pages everything was really slow and it was hard to get through. After that things picked up and I found I was a little hooked on the storyline, but overall the story did tend to drag a little. I will probably still read the 2nd book though, if that's helps you decide if you should read it! (It's a duology)
I just finished The Name of the Wind and could NOT put it down 😍 I enjoyed the old school epic feel to the writing, and the perspective of hearing the story after it's already happened, and hearing from the main character point of view was fascinating. The world building was well done and I'm looking forward to reading the next book! 5/5 ⭐️ Not a quick read, unless you have time and for fans of LOTRs, Rain Wilds Chronicles, The Pellinor Series
"In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit."
Happy #bookbirthday to the hobbit, one of my all time favourite stories ?
Recently decided to switch to a Fall look for my pictures! I'm looking forward to the crisp mornings and pretty autumn colours! Who else is excited for Fall?!
This is next my my TBR list after I finish up the Bone season series (so far). What's next on your list??
I'm in love with this candle from @novelheartbeat - it's called Court of Dreams ❤️
"The Court of Dreams. The people who knew that there was a price, and one worth paying, for that dream. The bastard- born warriors, the Illyrian half breed, the monster trapped in a beautiful body, the dreamer born into a court of nightmares...And the huntress with an artist's soul."
Anyone else read this series?! I feel like it doesn't get as much love as it deserves!! ❤️
"Moria stood at his back, dagger raised. Gavril pushed the door. It did not budge. He eyed it and seemed ready to bash his shoulder into it when she whispered, “You cannot fight with a dislocated sword arm, Kitsune. Kick it.”
He hesitated.
“If you fall on your arse, I‘ll not laugh.” She paused. “Or not loudly." "
"The Darkling slumped back in his chair. “Fine,” he said with a weary shrug. “Make me your villain." "
Happy Friday!! I just posted a new blog post: 5 fairy tale re-tellings you should check out! Link is in my bio, would love if you checked it out ❤️
"It's not every day one has a first kiss,' I said.
'May I remind you that it wasn't your first kiss?'
'It felt like it was. It was the first one that mattered."
"Were I to fall in love, indeed, it would be a different thing; but I have never been in love ; it is not my way, or my nature; and I do not think I ever shall."
Thinking of reading all of these before Tower of Dawn is released! Anyone else thinking of doing a re-read?
This was the first book I read by any of the Bronte sisters! I loved it 😊 What's your favourite book by the Bronte sisters?
"It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them."
I find a lot of people ask me about adult fantasy series- this would be one recommendation from me! Really enjoyed this series :)
This book is on my to be read for the summer! I'm looking forward to diving in and reading it once I'm on vacation (in 2 weeks!!) what books are on your to be read list for the summer?
A few years ago I went through this phase where I was obsessed with all things Ernest Hemingway. I think it was around the time I watched Midnight in Paris for the first time, and I'd been doing a reread of Gatsby. Anyone else go through reading "phases"?
"Well, here at last, dear friends, on the shores of the Sea comes the end of our fellowship in Middle-earth. Go in peace! I will not say: do not weep; for not all tears are an evil."
Candle is from @ACourtOfCandles
"Fate," Blue replied, glowering at her mother, "is a very weighty word to throw around before breakfast."
Bought this book the other day as part of a book sale, and I'm looking forward to reading it! I've heard mixed reviews- thoughts?
I've only read this book so far in the series and really enjoyed it! Anyone else a fan?
“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." J.R.R Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

"I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it's very difficult to find anyone.'
I should think so — in these parts! We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!"

These books were on my TBR list at the start of June! I've only read Soundless so far, but it was great! I think the Glittering Court will be next, after I finish The Raven Cycle.

Really loved this series! It pulled me out of my ACOWAR slump and got me reading again! Do you have any books that have pulled you out of a slump/book hangover??
Hunted is a fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a twist. If you love a good retelling, you'll definitely enjoy this book! It's a quick read and not part of a series so there's no need to worry about cliffhangers. 😊🥀📖 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀#bookaddict #booklove #bookreview
I really enjoyed Caraval! I was expecting it to be too similar to other stories out there but I was wrong. Lots of adventure packed into every chapter, and despite being a series you could read it without stressing too much about what will happen next 4/5 ⭐️ Full review on my blog via Instagram 😊
I got this book at a bargain sale and really loved it but no one else has ever heard of it! It's a perfect read if you're looking for a novel and not the commitment of a series 💕📚📖 #books #bookphoto #booklove #bookrecommendation #bookaddict #booklover #bookish
