Ok ya'll just had to hype this up by comparing it to my favorite show, "The Affair." Didn't work for me. I'm leaving this book behind. Maybe I gave up on it to soon. Idk? I keep hearing my mother voice, "life's to short for bad books."
Thanks #botm for this nice surprise. I really enjoyed this novella. Pleasantly surprised how Gillian Flynn could take it there with only 62 pages but she did and I loved it. She never disappoints.
Not really related to the book I'm reading....and maybe I am three days behind - but who's counting? You better not be! I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful new year! 😘Please keep the above quote in mind as we progress through each day. Life can be tough but be kind to yourself!
I just want to stay home with my dog and read! 😒😔😓I'm reading Swimming Lessons and I'm trying to decide if I like it or not.
This book was a perfect combination of a coming of age tale and a southern gothic. I enjoyed every page and now I am sad it's over. The author and his style favored Pat Conroy.
I loved this book! It's crime novel without the good guys and had a bad ass female antagonist. What more could you want in a book? It was heady, intelligent, and it even had the capability to make you sympathize with the characters - no matter how screwed up they are. I will definitely be reading other books by this author.
The following photos summarizes, "The Nightingale." The book revolves around two sisters different in age and ideals. It's interesting to see them evolve into their characters as the book progress. It's even more intriguing to see them come together and find solidarity through war and harrowing times.
intriguing but overrated
I am so excited to read this book!! It comes out October 2016. I love Twin Peaks!! ☕️
HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY🐾 from my one true love and me!!
Amazing book. Somehow it addressed very difficult subject matters but made you empathize and understand each character and their struggles.

Touching, beautiful, and heartbreaking. How is my next book, I'm reading, ever going to compare to this? By far, one of the best books I have read this year or years.
