Decided to try out audio books for the first time. It was nice to work to the sweet sounds of Jim Dale and the stories of Harry and friends.

By opening pages of a book we open our minds a little bit. We fill it with stories & memories & knowledge. Those books become a little part of you. And books open up our minds to situations we can never experience & give us understanding, and that's why banned books need to be accessible to us all. We need these books to help us learn & understand those different to us. We have a right to read these books, because they will makes us better people
Shelfie minus the shelf lol. Here are some of my banned books, missing a few that are in storage.

I read quite a few banned books in my younger years, specifically in school. Perks of being from California? And of course read some for fun, like Harry Potter series. Being able to read many different books as a kid was definitely a cool thing to be able to do.

For someone who likes dystopian, I have never read 1984 or Animal Farm. Both of these challenged books are on my TBR and will hopefully get read soon.

My favorite banned book is also my favorite book of all, Looking for Alaska by John Green. It's one of those books you read and finish a little exhausted by how profound and amazing it is.

Beautiful poetry for the modern millennial. Definitely meant to be read multiple times. If you think poetry isn't for you, read this collection it may change your mind.
Have you ever finished a book and you were completely speechless because it was so good? That was how I felt when I finished Looking for Alaska. This is my favorite book. And it is John Green's best (sorry TFIOS). Also I cried when I got a signed copy that is how much I love this book
I grabbed this book because I found it so relatable (as someone who is depressed and an overavhiever my god was it relatable). It handles the serious topic and humor so well. I greatly enjoyed reading this book that I finished it rather quickly.
