Brashares' poetic style enchants, but the plot falls short. Two step children on two sides of a mixed family engage in a strange "will they?/ won't they?" and nine other indiscernible characters do things. Not for me. Instead, I'll steer my students towards Sisterhood and my friends towards The Last Summer. #YALit

So glad I got to read this #ARC of Crown of Wishes! I really enjoyed the poetry and mythology of Star-Touched Queen, and this book continues the magic. I'd say it's not really a sequel, though, but rather a companion novel. And man, oh man, did I enjoy Gauri and Vikram as protagonists! Fun read. #YAfantasy

Another great book from this author! She really has her finger on the pulse of teenagers and how they'd react to an event like this. Her characters are funny, heartfelt, and real.

This book and its sequels are my perfect books - two fierce ladies, #steampunk, vampires, fancy dresses, humor, and mystery.

I was going to read #poetry, but #Padfoot fell asleep on my book.

This is a funny, upbeat adventure with a clever protagonist. I never hesitate to put this series (starting with False Prince) in the hands of reluctant readers -- especially boys.
