I have some confusing and rather heavy feelings about this book.......but then again I‘ve grown old and it takes more effort to fly nowadays. On the upside this was on my TBR this year and I happen to find this beautiful edition this past weekend. I will most definitely seek out the collections. Our girls just because.....

readingjedi I always found the narrative voice problematic - it's creepy and downright weird! Gorgeous edition though. 6y
TSellers It‘s the last two chapters that sealed my impression , but evidently the man had a pretty messed up relationship with his own mother. All the rights were given to the Great Ormandy Street Hospital Charity in London. This is a major source of funding for the charity. So every time you buy the boy who wouldn‘t grow up you help other children to be able to. 6y

If you have read The Sparrow (Jesuits in space) then I don‘t have to tell you how beautiful words can put you in place. Doc is no exception. Russell puts you in Georgia, in Texas, in Dodge City, in hope, in friendship, in love and in death.

Listened to this “cozy-mystery”, loved the narrator and is a perfect quick read to cleanse the palate. If you‘re a fan of Agatha Christie give this one try.

Been home sick for two days. On the upside was able to finish this incredible story. If you are looking for something different this is your book. Incredible insight to life, death, race, status, war, peace, and the kids that are dropped in the middle of it.

What an unexpected and wonderful experience this has been. I loved this book and highly recommend to everyone. If there is someone on the fence about whether or not to dive in please jump into this world. Without getting to overdramatic, this book kept putting itself in front of me till I saw it.

abookishbutterfly That line is one of my favorites from this book! 6y

Book 2 down. I love the nonstop action of this series so far it makes for a quick read. I think I do have to take a break and have a pellet cleanse though. Back to Artemis and the gang soon!

Another one of those books everyone is supposed to read. While I enjoyed the writing and glad that I experienced this book.........I just wanted to slap everyone. There really needs to be something in between so-so and pick.🤓

Smrloomis I‘m with you on this. I read it as an adult and didn‘t like it. Ugh. (edited) 6y

With all the controversy about the Ted Bundy doc and Mindhunters I decided to go to the source. This book is one of many In which John Douglas explains the origins, methodology, and development of the behavior science department using many of the events that effected all of us in one way or the other.

Beautiful writing and interesting premise. Don‘t want to say too much. Others in the house have yet to read it.
