Fun quick charming read. Loved all the puzzles, riddles, secret passages!
So i might have judged the book by the dog on the cover. Which was of course One of the main reasons i bought it but it did not disappoint. All in Scottish accent but lively characters, good dialogue and intriguing mystery. Will def read the next in the series but May is so far away!
For Halloween I decided to try 2 spooky books. The vanishing and the haunting of Ashburn house by Darcy Coates. Both were spooky good fun!!
Great story. Even better on audiobook. Very gothic. Didn‘t want it to end. Perfect for Halloween.
Awesomely gothic. Great for prelude to Halloween. Read the story when the leaves fall, with a hot cup or cocoa and tree limbs scraping windows eerily. Delicious!
Currently reading the one on the right. Cute and interesting enough to finish. The rest are my cozy mystery TBR pile
Making progress. Image looks like not coming through but on book number 12 for January. Loved ‘I see You‘ by Clare Macintosh. Got her first one on audible.
Enjoying the series but finding main protagonist more annoying as I get through the books. Stories reminiscent of Agatha Christie storyline but not atmosphere. Im on this one, the third one now. Takes me 2-3 nights to get through these cozies.
Took a bit for me to get into the book but enjoyable. Just started to like characters when it ended.
Interesting book. I guessed it fairly early on but it kept you going. Some good psych discussions and decent thriller.
Liking the book but as someone who enjoys spelling bees I was surprised at the many spelling errors. Also why say ‘owner‘ of bookshop instead of personalizing her? Seems to me this book was rushed. Otherwise main characters well developed and interesting story.
So far so good. Oddly I just realized I received the same book free on Netgalley so am ‘reading‘ on both kindle and audible. Author does a nice job with narrating story.
Compelling story. Made you really want to look twice at the people around you. Thrilling. Thought-provoking.
Generally good but losing its charm a bit for me. Predictable. Maybe I‘ve read too many by Laura Child‘s! I want more for Haley. Recipes look yum.
Good story. Some annoying characters. Interesting heaven and hell themed recipes. Enjoyed all her other books.
So far so good. A new series from this author. I like her other series so am hopeful for this one. More later but now I want tea and a scone!! Preferably with clotted cream. I‘m a purist/traditionalist. I‘ll confirm review when done
