Annual devotional done!
Story was engaging enough to keep me reading, but not quite the page turner I expected.
Story was engaging enough to keep me reading, but not quite the page turner I expected.
And just like that I'm done and will need to get back to being patient for the next one to be released 🙄 I know some people are against the Robin & Strike romantic drama, but I really can't wait to see where things go...
I'm ready for the movie now! I felt like I missed the time when everyone was reading this, so happy to catch up. Def going to grab the next one in the series..
Well this was great! Much more steamy than I originally expected... Can this be a movie please?
What you read while nursing a newborn all night long...
One of the better mystery/thrillers I've read this year. Pleasant surprise!
Non-fiction on audio is my jam. Now I need to know more. Does an updated documentary on this exist?
This was an impulse Kindle purchase for a couple of bucks... It quickly turned into the fastest 500 pages I've read in awhile! I'm assuming there is more from this author I need to investigate...
This may have to be my last unsuccessful attempt to relive my experience with The Secret History. I probably need to accept that it's not going to happen and settle for a re-read soon!
Another one down! I think pushing past the slow-ish start is worth it. The twists start coming :)
This exceeded my expectations! Don't let the cute cover deceive you, this packs an emotional punch. Perfect summer read!
I wanted to love this more, but this audiobook took me forever to get through. Maybe mythology isn't my thing?? Beautiful writing, but felt slowwww.
Colleen Hoover is my go to when I need something I know I can get sucked into and finish in a day or two. I think Maybe Someday will always be my favorite, but I flew through this one anyway. Serious instalove, but I can get past that!
This wasn't Night Film....
Still a very creative storyline. Will be interested in what Pessl does next.
Slightly more about the author's trainwreck relationships than actual health issues...
It took me a long time to get around to this one, but Ove was a delight!
My first read by Katherine Center and I'm tempted to pick up another! This was great ♥️
My favorite audible romance pick to date! Great second chance story that takes place in a small town.
This one started off strong, but by the end I kinda didn't care what was happening 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Took a break from mystery thrillers, but jumping back in with this one!
I think this one was worth the hype! Author's character building skills are SO good...
I loved the parts about Leslie's own addiction and recovery, but be warned there is A LOT of content around other authors and their addictions. It often felt like talking just for the sake of talking...a little all over the place.
I'm always chasing the next The Secret History. This wasn't that same level of magic for me, yet definitely still worth a read if you like novels centered around a group of college friends.
Much sweeter than the risque cover and title would lead you to believe 😉♥️
This one flew by! Second pick from Audible Romance package.
Audible Romance free trial.... Yes please! This one was fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but did it make my commute more steamy? Absolutely!
Also Zachary Webber is the BEST.
Sometimes YA fantasy intimidates me because there is so much to learn about the world and a million characters to keep track of... But this one felt simple in a good way! Will keep it on my radar for when the next one comes out.
I usually try to steer clear of long audiobooks, but started this 16 hour pick this morning! Listened to first chapter and so far so good...
My second vacation read was another neighborhood drama. Slightly predictable, but an enjoyable cast of ladies.
An obvious choice for those who liked Big Little Lies!
This one is tough because so many people love this book and family sagas are usually my thing, but I felt like I was waiting for something big to happen throughout the entire story. Beautiful writing, but lacking action to keep things plugging forward.
Oprah book club picks are not automatic reads for me, but this one sure was good! Loved the switching POVs and the parts written in epistolary style.
Hoping to finish this one over the next couple of nights. Moves faster than I was expecting! Even with a deep plot this one is super readable.
This has been on my TBR list forever. Finally getting around to it on audio!
Everyone is reading this right? I didn't want to feel left out anymore. It's worth a read. Is it my favorite thriller ever?...nahhhh. Last review of catching up on my 2018 reads. Off to grab my two holds from the library this evening 👍
Finished this one over a couple of days. Definitely twisty eeeeek.
My favorite of the year so far. Bring your tissues!
Jenny Han attempt #2. Enjoyed this one more than The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Crossed one more off the celebrity memoir list. Maybe I would have appreciated this more of I was a bigger SNL fan.
How many Taylor Jenkins Reid books can I love in one year 😁♥️
I just wanted more from this. Maybe my expectations were too high?
