Another audiobook try!!! I've been getting better at finding books I enjoy on audio. And I'm hoping this one will be good since I just returned from my own Roman adventure!

A reread but first time listening by audio book! I wasn't sure I was going to like listening (not sure if audio books are my thing) but I flew through this and I think my next credit may be used to get Order! 👍🏻#harrypotter #gobletoffire #harryfanforlife
"There are two ways to look at a blank sheet of paper. You can see it as the most frightening thing in the world - because you have to make the first mark on it. Or you can see a blank page as the greatest opportunity - you get to make the first mark on it. You can let your imagination fly in any direction. You can create whole new worlds." Marty Sklar
This was such a fun story to read - between the Florence setting in the beginning and the feminist theme at the end I really loved every moment. AND! I just booked a trip to Italy 🇮🇹! So please let me know any book recommendations about Italy or that are set there!
"We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life is rounded with a sleep."
I know I'm late to the party with this book but I am loving pretty much every second. This guy's sense of humor is just perfect. 😎
Liked this one but not as much as the first two. Maybe because I really like Scarlet's character and this was (obviously) more Cress centered. I loved how it ended though and can't wait for Winter. Unfortunately I will have to since it's not out in paperback yet and it needs to match the rest of the series!! 😩
Loved everything about this series! I definitely haven't read a lot of fantasy as an adult but I feel like this is a good entry series for any reader because this is just so much more than just fantasy. I was blown away by the themes, and the world building, and especially the characters. I feel like if you were a fan of the show Lost, you probably would like a lot about what these books have to say... (ps still not over the ending...)
My favorite place to read 🌴🌊 the book was a purchase from one of my favorite independent bookstores and despite the fact that I'm not a fan of most of the characters I've definitely been swept away by the storyline
This book is such a pleasure and a heartache to read at the same time. It brings back the human aspect to a story that has been altered into a legend over time. I'm dreading getting to the end for obvious reasons but I know I will read much more about the Romanovs after this
This one line literally took my breath away. In a simple, short sentence, it's what I would say to J.k. Rowling for her stories. They have meant so much to so many people, and I count myself lucky to be amongst them. 📚⚡️
Scorpius: Thank you for being my light in the darkness. 💫⚡️ It's been nine years since the last late night, first reading of a new Harry Potter story. Dear Ms Rowling: please don't make us wait another decade to revisit this world.
He has a way with words, that Mr. Tolstoy. "...That is, a slow movement of the world-historical hand on the clock face of human history." #timeless #bucketlistbooks
Started reading this bucket list book! One excited to see what Mr. Tolstoy has to say
June book haul! So excited for a virtual trip to Italy with Love & Gelato!
Thunderbird house pride!!
So my unsolicited advice to women in the workplace is this. When faced with sexism or ageism or lookism or even really aggressive Buddhism, ask yourself the following question: "is this person in between me and what I want to do?" If the answer is no, ignore it and move on.
Deductive reasoning on a rainy day. I love how it has been over 100 years, yet the characters and stories of Sherlock Holmes still hold our attention.
I really was expecting not to like Cinder but I ended up liking it a lot and anxious to pick up Scarlet. Marissa Meyer knows how to create well developed and thought out characters. My favorite in this one? Probably Kai. He managed to still be the charming prince while not be the fairy tale cliche.
I'm finally starting this one after going back and forth on it. I'm a little nervous. I love fairy tales but I have big expectations after all the rave reviews I have heard about this series...
"I dreamt a dream tonight."
"And so did I."
"Well, what was yours?"
"That dreamers often lie."
One of my favorite moments from R&J. And love this beautiful cover! Currently re-reading ?✨
