The Harry Potter series has grown into a beloved worldwide phenomenon like no other.
I still remember reading HP for the very first time. This book made me fall in love with literature.
I could relate to many of the characters like Hermione and Luna, who were different and quirky but so special and powerful in their own right.
These books are pure magic.

Illuminae is a book like nothing that I have read, ever.
Set in 2575, this book takes the reader on an intergalactic roller coaster ride of emotions. Spoiler: A lot of people die in this book. Also, the space ship Alexander also has an Artificial Intelligence named Aiden that could best be compared to HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
This book is fast-paced, unique, and wild.
I definitely recommend it!

Who here has read the Iluminae series?
I've had Illuminae on my tbr list for ages, and I even bought the sequel Gemina before I started it, which I'm glad I did because I'm obsessed!
I love how the story plays out over drawings, IMs, journal entires, and interviews. It's a lot different from a typical read, which is a perfect cure for a book hangover.

This book has adventure, mystery, and a little romance mixed in. Is this book perfect? No. There are some chapters that felt rushed while others dragged on.
This story breathes new life into the fairy tale by reimagining the world of Neverland and putting a spin on the classic story.
