Onto the next book in the series! It's a blast rereading these--and you gotta love the cheesy pun on the back of the box set.
A Bride's Story is one of the most gorgeous and moving mangas I've ever read. If you want to learn about history, especially women's history, that you've never learned about before--and also cry over characters--then this is a must. #manga
Finished it! Very very good. Definitely recommend it for fans of the first novella or of classic monsters. Kaylee is in the picture because she looks a little like Jill in her dress.
Included my fave quote from the book in my Overdrive screenshot. Very interesting book; I enjoyed the passion as well as the compassion in showing the rich lives of a tiny mountain town.
Glad to finally dive into this.
...all your future histories can be destroyed in a single moment.
My latest ebook read is Instant! A good introduction to the history of Polaroid.
So excellent! A fun exciting tale that leaps into your heart. EAT NUTS AND KICK BUTTS
You know how you sometimes open a "nerdy" novel expecting a blatant cash grab with only vague inclinations at reflecting real fandom? THIS BOOK IS EVERYTHING THOSE BOOKS WANT YOU TO BELIEVE THEY ARE. It's stellar so far.
This book was heartfelt and lovely and so, so relatable.
Captain Marvel and She-Hulk LOVE this book so far.
A while back I e-mailed the branch manager of the first library I ever went to and asked if she had any pictures of the original building--a tiny, intimate place where the shelves surrounded you. She sent this along and I promptly cried. This is the place where I found magic and adventure, and I can never forget it.
This book is magnificent. In a near-future, a gay, Jewish man has just been elected president. Duncan, a gay, Jewish boy, is ready to celebrate--when the governor of Kansas throws everything into question. This book came out last September, but feels eerily relevant to recent events, and painfully beautiful in its depiction of Duncan.
An amazing read. Kowal's writing of Regency fantasy was good; her take on World War I is fantastic.
I loved Shades of Milk and Honey so much I've already moved onto the sequel! It's a fascinating, subtle series and a great genre read. #fantasy #romance #RegencyOutTheButt
This book was astounding! Everything you could want out of sci-fi and YA lit. Plus the whole story is told via primary source documents, which is like pure heroin to me. #YA #BattleststarGalacticameetsyoinglovemeetsFirefly
Just finished Where Am I Now? A wonderful, affecting book that hits the whole range of growing up girl--including a shout-out to my favorite book of childhood!
I'm cackling as I read this. Brilliant work brilliantly done.
Welcome to my skull. A truck is rolling over the bones of my neck and head. The vertebrae break, the brains pop and ooze. A thousand flashlights shine in my eyes. The world tilts.
Wonderful and dark without losing its sense of the fantastic.
