I'm ready for NaNoWriMo--are you?
By "ready" I mean I know bits and pieces of the story I want to tell but absolutely nothing coherent. Book 3 of the Paranormal Curio series starts late Halloween night, and it's called The Pembroke Engine.

My favorite October read of all time! If you want something both incredibly funny and disturbing, this book is the one.
I first read this back in 2006 when it was a web serial. It's still great.
Any advice on how to contact Litsy admins? I tried that twice and no response yet. One of the book entries (mine) needs corrections and I want to add the sequel soon.
Sequel news: I have full notes back from one of my beta readers and I've been working to act on those, plus looking high and low for typos the betas missed (there were some). Still trying to reword one awkward sentence without losing the joke, and replace a joke that didn't land. But I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on the release!
While the sequel is in the hands of beta readers, here's the cover for the new book! Check out my blog "When I Become a Supervillain" for the full blurb, news and updates, and also recipes and rants. I'm planning to do a free promo for The Affix when the sequel launches.
I finally did NaNoWriMo again this year, so now the sequel to The Affix, called The Well of Moments, is going through editing and beta. The sequel is set three years later and puts Jasmine Treager in the driver's seat as the main character. Several familiar faces and names return, and some familiar artifacts too.
