I've had just a few chapters left to read for over a week now and instead of admitting to my laziness and procrastinating tendencies, I'll blame it on wanting to drag out the reading experience as long as possible 😌 But alas, time to finish this guy and start on The Raven King.

Final #24in48 numbers! I continued to read after initially hitting the 24hr mark for a few hours and my final time ended up being approx 26.5hrs! (Still really wish I had that lost screenshot/the stopwatch app didn't malfunction, but what can ya do?🤷🏻‍♀️)

This has been so much fun and I am already looking forward to the next readathon in July! x

Loretta Great job!! 👍🏻👏🏻🎉🎈 8y

Add in my lost three hours from my stopwatch glitch last night and I've done it! Not going to lie, I'm surprised I managed to complete the full 24 hours without pushing myself. I always knew I lost track of time reading but not THAT much. A very delightful first #24in48 experience if I do say so myself. ☺️

...now time for more reading lol🙈

Nearly through my reread of Thirteen Reasons Why with 18hrs clocked on my #24in48 (crazy! it's only 1:30pm – I should sleep more) and my migraine is flaring up again so it's time for a break and, hopefully, a nap. Fingers crossed it's calmed when I wake. 😴🤕

Little hiccup: my stopwatch app decided to glitch and I've lost all my #24in48 time from yesterday (I was up to just over 13 hours, last screenshot I took was at just over 10) and now won't do anything besides move back and forth between 1 and 2 seconds.

iPhones are finicky little things. 😣 Nevertheless, back to reading!

It's been a bit since my last #24in48 check-in, during which I finished Sharp Objects. It took a LITTLE work for the story to grab my attention, but once it did I ended up loving it. 4/5 ⭐️'s

I found a box of books I read in high school in my garage so I've deviated from my TBR a bit and started a reread of Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Still just as good as I remember. A few more hours before bed, and then back to it tomorrow! 📚☺️

I'm about two hours into my #24in48 reading time, and that's even after waking up late. So, naturally, I rewarded myself with a smoothie. What is everyone else reading? I feel like this is a great time to build up my TBR.

Happy reading, all 📖📚 #readathon

saresmoore Happy reading to you! I'm an INFJ, too. 😊 8y

Getting an early (late? 3:30am?) start to my #24in48. Oh the joys of disorganized sleep patterns. 😴

A quick little #tbr graphic for my first ever #24in48 this weekend! I will definitely be starting with Sharp Objects tomorrow morning, since I haven't gotten around to diving into it since picking it up – life has been crazy the last few weeks and my chronic migraines have been hitting me hard on top of it all🤒 Not too sure which I'll start afterwards though, any recs?

Starting this baby after picking it up during the Amazon sale and having @kylienoele sing its praises and ultimately convincing me to put my other book on hold to read this asap.

I never got around to reading Gone Girl, so this'll be my first Gillian Flynn novel. 😌

I'm officially halfway through the raven cycle series, and so far so good. I need to stop by a bookstore and pickup the last two books, but that sounds like a 2017 task. Happy New Year everyone! 🎉

here's a snap of the dream thieves ft. my new kindle case and old lip balm because I'm obsessive when it comes to photos

Elisa Oh I love that kindle case, so pretty! 😍 I have to get a new one, mine lost its magnetic closure 😶 8y
Elisa I'm reading the last installment right now! Book 2 in the series was my favorite so far I think. 8y
Lis @Elisa Thank you! I got it for Christmas, but Santa may have gotten it from Amazon😉 And ahh, I'm excited to read the rest of the series! 😍 8y

Trying to be more active on here and made a lil cute graphic to prove it.

If December doesn't translate to "annual HP reread" for you are you truly living life to its fullest? I don't think so.

finally got around to picking up the first couple of books in trc series. time to curl up, read and enjoy the snow that's coming my way this week from the comfort of my bed 🌨☕️

Elisa Excellent move, getting the first two! I did the same an was glad to have the second book ready to go 🙂 8y
Lis @Elisa I'm already 3/4 of the way through the first, very grateful I have the second on hand already! But I'll most likely need to make another trip and pick up the others by the end of the week🙈 8y
Elisa @Lis haha, I get that 😁 8y

I didn't plan on reading this book in one sitting but seeing as it's 3:45am and I'm out of pages to read, I guess things happen.

This entire book was so emotional and raw and just devastatingly beautiful. If you're looking for something that will make you feel, like a lot, I suggest you give this a go. Just be sure to have tissues on hand.

Also note: be wary of trigger warnings for self harm, abuse, alcohol, drugs and the like.

The whole aftg series was a great easy-read. Like so great that I read all three instalments in two days.

The plot was well-paced throughout the entire series so there was never a point where it seemed to drag. Also, THE. 👏🏼 CHARACTER. 👏🏼 DEVELOPMENT. 👏🏼

I just couldn't get into this, as cute as the first book and its film adaptation were, this just wasn't doing it for me. I don't know if it's the time of year – i tend to read more fantasy/sci-fi/thriller type books throughout autumn; or just a general lack of interest, but this one had me bailing from early on. 👎🏼

Maybe there aren't any such things as good friends or bad friends - maybe there are just friends, people who stand by you when you're hurt and who help you feel not so lonely. Maybe they're always worth being scared for, and hoping for, and living for. Maybe worth dying for too, if that's what has to be. No good friends. No bad friends. Only people you want, need to be with; people who build their houses in your heart.

So pleased this lived up to my expectations. Harry Potter has always been something of a refuge to me and this addition to the series didn't disappoint.

Although it was different reading about the wizarding world via script, I found it stayed true to the experience of reading the original series and completely fell a little more in love with the characters (new and old!)

Do yourself a favour and pick up a copy and let the magic continue. ✨
