Fascinating biblical fiction for teens!
A Cinderella retelling with a big twist.
I really enjoyed this faith-based, slightly futuristic, story about the dangers of government control.
Amazing memoir!! This bad boy to priest story kept me turning the pages!
This beautifully written Young Adult novel centers around the strong faith of two sisters, Emilia and Maria, and their extraordinary talents. The book is set in 18th Century Milan, Italy and focuses on their relationships with their father, as well as their struggle to follow the paths they believe God wants them to take.
Catholic dystopian at it‘s best! The teen protagonists, Margo and Bane, are fabulous! This page-turner really makes you think!
I must start this review with a warning. If you‘re planning on reading this book – hold on for a wild ride. This book for older teens is a fast-paced, edge of your seat, page-turner.
Circumstances meld the lives of these three characters as they each deal with painful family issues. This story is mostly told from the young teen‘s perspective which will connect with teen readers. But I loved the inner thoughts and personal feelings of the elderly gentleman and the mom as well.
Battle for His Soul is the third book in the West brother‘s series by Theresa Linden.
This novel has a very interesting twist that the first two books in the series do not. We actually experience the fight between angels and demons that surrounds not only Jarret and his decisions but all the characters. It‘s a fascinating concept to think about what could be happening around us as we go about our lives.
One of my favorites!! Humor, mystery and faith combined in a fun story.
The author did a wonderful job of keeping me guessing by throwing some great twists and turns into the story. I wish I could tell you more, but I don‘t want to give anything away. If you‘re intrigued, you‘ll just have to pick up your own copy to find out more about Annabelle of Anchony.
Cooper and his two friends witness a crime. Afraid that the perpetrators will track them down they make a pact—the Code of Silence. They believe by keeping silent, they will stay safe and protect those that are suddenly in danger. But as they continue this agreement, the lies they must tell, continue to grow ultimately threatening their friendships.
This book has so many amazing discussion topics.
I don‘t know what it says about me, but I‘m a total sucker for the whole Romantic Comedy genre. And that is how I‘d describe this book, the kind of romance that I love – great characters, a sweet innocent romance and humor galore. Top it off with a heroine who saves dogs, and a positive message and you‘ve got a winning recipe.
Wendy is a good kid whose seemingly innocent decisions lead to some trouble in her life. I found her predicament in this novel to be quite relatable. Often teens don‘t purposely make bad choices but instead get into trouble as good intentions somehow spiral out of control.
This create-your-own adventure is fantastic! It‘s a fun story full of historical facts, puzzles, and elements of faith. Will keep kids busy for hours!
Vincent doesn‘t have much in life. An abusive father, a disinterested mother, no friends. He has finished high school with less than impressive grades and has no promising prospects for the future. But he does have determination and a love of baseball which provide him an opportunity to play for the state championship team.
Unfortunately, the coach and his all-star son resent Vincent and nearly destroy his one opportunity to better himself.
Great fairytale type story about three princesses hidden away for their safety.
If your teen enjoys superhero movies and stories, this might be a great book for them. When my kids were teens, they loved movies about heroes with incredible powers who protected the world from the evil villains. Launch is such a story—a Christian teen version of Avengers or X-men.
What a delightful, heart-breaking, thought-provoking, and surprising read!
This middle-grade book might be small, but it has a lot of depth to it. As I finished the last page, I wished I had someone to chat with about the story. Jenna‘s Journey would make an excellent discussion book for a classroom or youth group.
I loved this book! What a delightful middle grade book about finding yourself and fitting in. The story follows Gabe, a middle school student - smack dab in the middle of those difficult awkward years. Oh, and he just found out he‘s a genius. I highly recommend this funny and touching book.
Exciting story about St. Dymphna. The author takes the fascinating facts of this real Irish princess who must escape her deranged father, adds two estranged brother, and creates a novel that is hard to put down!
This was such a great book about all the possibilities of life. It was a little reminiscent of It‘s a Wonderful Life.
What a fantastic Christian dystopian story! Set in the not too distant future - thus story seems a little too possible! Really makes you think!!!
Great Christian book - what happens when the prince dies in battle before rescuing the fair maiden? Well, she has to change her destiny by herself of course!
This is one of my all time favorite YA novels. An army brat coming to terms with a tragic event, a journey on the el camino trail, fabulous insights and dialogue - what more could you want?
I really loved this faith-based historical romance. Lauer did a great job showing the harsh realities of war through these wonderful characters.
I can‘t agree more with this review. Author Carolyn Astfalk creates a heartfelt story filled with romance, mystery, and faith.
This is a delightful book about a little mouse who witnesses the amazing life of Mary. The illustrations are absolutely adorable.
This is such a great fictional book for teens about overcoming loss and the power of prayer.
I enjoyed this book about recognizing a toxic relationship and having the courage to end it.
Isn't this such a beautiful cover? Can't wait to read this one. I loved Carolyn Astfalk's Ornamental Graces.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Christian YA fairy-tale retelling. And what a fabulous cover!
This was such a great book. I loved the message - our faith can get us through any situation.
YA mysteries full of adventure, humor, innocent romance, and faith.
