Loved the dynamic of the characters!
Really love the beginning and the end. It started out very captivating and moved quickly. Close to the end, it seemed rushed to wrap up and the since of danger seemed to finish - But the very last chapter was a great ending.
Parts dragged on a bit, mostly some of the history / gun facts or stories (at least for me ) -but the ending was worth it!
I think the story nicely brought back in the story of Flora Dane while really hooking me with Roxanna‘s story and what the relationship was with the kids she shared a Foster home with .
Loved the adventure and the treasure hunt. Overall a nice feel good story!
Interesting reading the story from Deaths point of view. I did not want to stop reading about Max and Liesel and their life following the war.
What did you all think? For me it‘s a - must read! It‘s been a long time since I read a book and just could not wait to tell people about it !! The relationship between the stories and the characters made this a quick read. The history of the characters and the relationship between Paige, Simon, Aaron and Ingrid made the ending a complete surprise for me.
Interesting story. I like the perspective of the three family members but felt the self-loathing aspects
This one was disappointing for me. Felt like too many other stories. The jobs and overlap of the main characters roles for how solid their marriage was felt too far fetched.
This one is worth getting to the end to find out what really happened to Billie!
Loved the mix of short stories. Make a great book to bring on the beach. Left some stoping pints to hit the ocean!
Did you see the end coming? Didn‘t turn out quit how I thought!
👍aside from all the danger - makes me want to visit New Orleans
Picked up this Reese Book Club Novel as a gift ... might have to give it a quick read 😉
picked up my first A J.P Beaumont Novel. Looking forward to diving in next weekend!
Good mystery. The connection between the characters keep created a few interesting twist. My favorite was the supporting character, Ethel.
True picture of chicago. Love the relationship between the characters as they age and life struggles take place.
There were a few twist in there that added so much to the story. Great ending.
It has comic like humor. Simple story.
John Hart is one of my favorite authors. I have to say this one was a bit spooky 😬
Really enjoyed the relationship between the president and his staff. Very interesting ending about who you can trust
Interesting connection of the past mistakes and similar mistakes a generation later. Could have used a few more pages on the last chapter 🤓
Loved ! The diary and Jo were two areas that had the most surprise.
Great beach book that includes a local mystery, family dynamics and love.
I loved the camaraderie of the women‘s murder club and how it brings the legal process forward in their professions. However, throughout you were following multiple character stories and never really digging deep into one. What did you think? It‘s not my favorite style but I will keep an open mind and read the next one to see how the characters life progress.
The book follows Flora as she reevaluates what her new normal is and how she finds her place after a horrific kidnapping.
Couldn‘t get into it. Maybe you can! Let me know how it ends 😊
I couldn‘t get into this one. The plot seemed to go to slow and too much into the characters thoughts.
Great Beach Read. I really love the historical aspect, not only of the town but also of the characters. I look forward to reading another one.
Quick read about two senior folks trying to make it work and the stereotype of age and dating.
Tons of twists that came into a great surprise ending. Cannot wait to pick up another read by the authors.
Took months to get through, before giving up. The characters and plot moved slow. Filled with whining and resentful events.
Great read! The storyline was new and interesting. The details and relationship from past to present always moved the story forward.
Enjoyed the quick little twist in the end, that slowed down the mystery and revealed new and old relationships.
