So good! I feel like my therapist needs to tell me this.
If y‘all haven‘t explored the world of Natasha Pulley yet, I highly encourage you to do so! The Watchmaker of Filigree Street is an excellent debut novel, with Bedlam Stacks in the same universe but with different plot lines. This novel continues with Mori and Thaniel, and I am recommending it to everyone I meet right now. :) Cute puppy photo just for attention grabbing. ;)
Just a little gem I stumbled across while reading this book for potential teaching material. 💜
Growing up and madness are the same thing, maybe. What an interesting idea! I‘ve definitely felt this in my own life.
Still working my way through this series. I feel like the first one started out fun, and by book 4, it‘s a little cliche and tired. I like McCaffery, but meh.
On the board! I just finished Damia‘s Children last night for theme of motherhood. :) #bookishbingo
So excited for this book! AND this quote was exactly the inspiration I needed today.
Enjoying a beautiful day, rocking my Easter nails, and relaxing with this fun read while I wait for the family gathering later today! #happyeaster #Ivedotafeeling #dragons #magic #love
“The only difference between everybody and nobody is the number of shoes!” A delightful quote from an insightful 9-year-old in this novel.
I‘m feeling quite Belle-like this morning. Got my rose nails and my “nose stuck in a book”. ;) Thoroughly enjoying this read.
I wouldn‘t say this was the best written book and I‘m not usually keen on such an overt religious allusion, but I did enjoy the fusion of Old and New gods.
A bit of lighthearted lunchtime reading. :) What are some@of your favorite light reads?
Nothing better than a good book and a warm kitty on a cold, snowy Sunday. I am absolutely loving Naomi Novik‘s writing style! #fairytales #allthewords
I thoroughly enjoyed the first book, The Alchemist‘s Daughter, and book 2 did not disappoint. With another round of creative famous character melding and some heavy character development, the plot line still moved along nicely.
With this title, I was expecting a light, fluffy book that didn‘t need thinking. Nope. Heavy stuff, right here. Makes you reflect on how you‘re living life.
Ah, Hemingway. How right you are! And how sad that it takes wine to realize this in life sometimes.
