Really enjoyed this! I had put off reading Robin Hobb for so long but decided it was time to give her books a go. The story is pretty slow paced but I still didn't want to stop reading, I think it pretty much just sets the scene for the next book. 3.5⭐️

This book was ok, the main character was kinda frustrating in the way she responded to others. She really didn't help herself. I thought the idea of using flowers and their meanings as a form of communication was quite cute though. I'd give it 2.5 ⭐️

So for some reason I was in the mood for a cringy soppy vampire romance series and I downloaded exactly that. This was awful, the only reason it gets 2 stars is because it actually was pretty fast paced and action packed. Other than that I didn't like any characters, the main girl is a brat and lover boy vampire master has the personality of a vegetable 🤷‍♀️

This book is about a virus that kills 99% of the population. I think the last book I read that was similar to this was Stephen Kings "The Stand". I really liked how it was questioned whether it was necessary to inform the next generation of what used to be, it definitely got you wondering how best to move on in that situation. I wouldn't say it was aaaas amazing as it was hyped up to be but still a solid 4/5⭐️

I actually thoroughly enjoyed this book! An African girl is forced to leave her home and go to England, if I say any more I'll be spoiling the story 😂 this book actually made me tear up quite a few times, it's so beautifully written! I read it all in about 3 hours. I highly recommend this super short easy (but heart wrenching) book. 4/5⭐️

Being on a plane doesn't have anything to do with the book I just thought it looked cool ?‍♀️did the same with Station Eleven so apologies for the very similar pictures.

This was a fantastic short fantasy book! Really interesting concept, I've never read anything like it and I loved how unique all the characters were! What stood out to me was that the characters were diverse (asexual and transsexual) however they didn't make a big deal out of it. It was just kinda mentioned "oh this guy is trans" and that was that, no biggie ?‍♀️ the way it should be imo! I wish this book was longer. 5/5⭐️

Centique I wish it was longer too! I hope she writes a sequel 😍 7y
HanMaBo @Centique I've just found out there is a sequel! Down Among the Sticks and Bones! There's also another being released in January called Beneath the Sugar Sky. 😍😍 7y
Centique Awesome! I'm going to reserve that right now 👍 7y

The Hate U Give is a story about a black female teen who is affected by racism. She struggles to balance her life at home and life at school and gives an insight into the lives of many teens nowadays! I really enjoyed this book, it was written well with lots of "current" language and it really opened my eyes to how ignorant and unfair people can be. 4/5⭐️

This book is about a young boy with Asperger's syndrome, and the way it was written definitely gave you an idea of the narrators voice and train of thought. I felt conflicted on how to respond to this book, because finding it funny seems almost disrespectful. The narration at times was a bit tedious and there were parts I had to skip because quite frankly I do not care about maths equations. Otherwise it was an interesting read 4/5 ⭐️

I have to say I had pretty high hopes for this book after Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, unfortunately I just didn't love this one! I couldn't relate to the characters really, and felt like Becky overdid the emphasis on diversity in a way that distracts from the actual story. 2/5 ⭐️ from me 😢

The cats don't have much (anything) to do with this book, but they're cute so 🤷‍♀️ Really enjoyed this book, it set the scene for the next few books and I absolutely adore all the covers for the series 😍 4/5 stars

1. Definitely wine! 🍷
2. Buy books based on the cover (I sometimes do this anyway 💁)
3. Read at the beach, that way you can get a tan too 👌
4. Fantasy novels.
5. I think I'd rather date Mr Rochester, he's just a nicer 'warmer' person than Mr Darcy idk 🤷‍♀️

Unfortunately this was one of those rare occasions where the movie actually is better than the book. This must be one of the most boring books I have ever read in my life. There's no real plot to follow, essentially it's just a collection of short stories. Could barely even finish it. 1/5 stars wouldn't recommend

Omg this book 😭 it was one of those books where you find yourself smiling at the book, I physically could not put it down and read it in one sitting. I loved all the characters, the plot was great, everything was just so RELATABLE, you don't have to be gay yourself to fully empathise with Simon. This book has definitely made its way up there with I'll Give You The Sun as one of my favourite books. (Also diverse with LGBT and PoC main characters)
