!!!! Super looking forward to this, creepy fairy tales are right up my alley. I‘ve got a lot of saving up to do this year so I‘m trying not to spend on books unless it‘s a gift card, so this is peeeeerfect. ❤️ #torbooks

I mean what‘s the big deal with pineapple on pizza anyway. It‘s fine. Pineapples are fine. #thisorthat
Finally decided to use the Amazon gift card I‘ve had lying around for months. Starting on A God in the Shed first since I‘m craving some horror. #bookhaul
Powerful, upsetting, compelling poetry. Lovelace puts word to thoughts all women have and struggles all women have faced. She inspires and encourages you to fight, so fight.
While I overall enjoyed Parable of the Sower more, Talents is so alarmingly relevant to today that I‘m beginning to think it should be required reading. From a storytelling standpoint, bringing in Olamina‘s daughter frames the narrative in a new and interesting way, which I liked. Very good - highly recommend.
1. Print! 📖
2. Couch or bed. With a blanket and a cat to snuggle
3. Coffee or tea. I like all snacks. I am a snack fiend. But I guess popcorn.
4. Multiple across multiple formats. One physical and one audio/digital for easy transportation.
5. Day. I don‘t function well at night, I‘m very much more of a morning person.

After I finish a book, I always struggle to pick out what I‘ll read next. I don‘t like to read the same genre back to back, typically, and I alway, always have to fight the urge to buy more books rather than chose from my shelf. This time I‘ve picked out three that have sat unread for quite some time. I‘ll probably go with Nimona first, for the change in format. #marchtbr #tbr
I adored this book. The sense of magic, the heavy fairy tale inspiration, the driving voice of the prose. There was only one brief moment in the middle of the book where things fell off just a bit too much, but it‘s only for 20 or 30 pages before you‘re right back into the thick of the plot. I highly recommend it! 🥀
February finished reads! I‘m making good progress through my rather modest goal of 20 books - I always seem to fall out of reading for a bit each year - so I might bump that up. My favorite of this selection was Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. Timely, poignant, and captivating, I highly recommend it. #scifi #fantasy #februaryreads March TBR, uh... TBD? There‘s too many!
My only regret with this book is starting it over my lunch break during my busiest days of the week. If I had started it on Saturday I think I might‘ve read it all in one sitting. I am in love with the particular brand of magic Novik has created in this world. It‘s so engaging you feel as if you‘re casting spells alongside Agnieszka. #fantasy #currentlyreading
