A book that is a love story and revenge. It is also a good look at rape culture and toxic masculinity. Sounds like a Lifetime but is nothing like one
Well researched and well written book about how laws and prisons effect communities. A must read for anyone concerned about drugs, crime, racism, and society.
Re-reading this series and enjoyed this installment more on the second time around. I love strong women who are strong in different ways. Clay is far less creepy in this one though I still have a problem with a later pairing in the series. Still good fun.
Considering the war on drugs and racism, this book should be a must read for any citizen of the US. It is a bit more research heavy then Loewen's other books for he does use many figures.
I got my copy via Netgalley. This massive bio of Douglass is a must read.
Table showing African American residences in counties (56). Lower is showing how AAs were chased out. Rage inducing book but a good read so far
A great look at a case in Reconstruction New Orleans. An excellent examination of not only the case but race and politics of the time.
When you want to take notes but Moby has other ideas
