This book is fantastic. I would highly recommend. Chris Kyle‘s autobiography, I thought he was amazing before but now I‘m certain. What a warrior.

Fun to read. Would recommend for those who like young adult romantic comedies. The movie is also great if you want to check that out.

Happy New Year everyone. I‘m spending it listening to this book. I love it! What did you think?

marleed I loved it. My favorite line was that Chiluly‘s were the pigeons of Seattle. I waited for it to be delivered in the movie and it was not! Nor did the movie have the Beatle‘s soundtrack in the background! 5y
Cfmamareads @marleed wow I‘m surprised by that! I haven‘t watched the movie yet, but how disappointing. I loved the part about the hypnotist gathering everyone in Seattle and telling them they were going to love a craftsman house. Haha. 5y

Hilarious! Don‘t listen on speaker. NSFW. Ali Wong is absolutely hilarious and open and fun. It was such an enjoyable audiobook that will have you laughing out loud.

Bossypants | Tina Fey

Tina Fey is funny, her book is so-so. I enjoy female comedian memoirs so I really looked forward to this one but it ended up being a lot of rambling and side notes and I found myself getting lost or zoning out.

Awesome book about three bada$$ women going through West Point. It will make you laugh, make you cry, and make you want to read more.

It‘s Harry Potter, so of course I‘m going to give it 5 stars. I have it tattooed on me so I have to stand behind that. Despite making me want to throw the book across the room at times, I actually really enjoyed it.

Mehso-so

I love Chip and Joanna, so I think some of my good rating comes from that. The book ended up being a lot of rambling and getting off topic. There was some underlying good lessons but I expected it to be different. I think Chip has very interesting points of views on different topics. I wish that it didn‘t have the political pages, I definitely could have done without those.

Why Not Me? | Mindy Kaling
Mehso-so

I gave it 2 stars on goodreads but would probably give it 2.5 stars actually. This book is semi-relatable, semi-funny, kind of a rambling monologue from a semi-famous person. The book was all over the place, there was rarely a start middle and end to the stories and mostly it‘s just random thoughts.

This book is hilarious, emotional, honest, playful and silly. I laughed out loud several times, and while this book isn‘t written solely for comedy it wouldn‘t be written by Amy Poehler if it wasn‘t funny. She‘s hilarious, and I appreciate her realness. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes Amy Poehler, Parks and Recreation, or Saturday Night Live. I really enjoyed the behind the scenes stories and the personal stories about her cast mates.

Scrappy Little Nobody | Anna Kendrick
Pickpick

Scrappy Little Nobody is funny, quirky and endearing. It's always interesting learning about a celebrity's history. I had no idea that Anna Kendrick got her start as a child star. I have read quite a few celebrity memoirs in the past month and they all are pretty similar, but I appreciate her voice and realness. Her slight sarcasm and quirky humor are similar to my own, so I may have found it funnier than most.

Wow! This book is hauntingly good. It's just the right amount of creepy intrigue and believability for me. I like thrillers that make you think but also don't give away everything before it gets there. It was a shocking page turner.

This Tender Land is a brilliant masterpiece about four orphan children growing up in the Midwest during the Great Depression. They must battle their way through torture and hardship in search of a better life. Will they find it? Sometimes what you pray for and dream of isn't always as it's expected.

Amazing read! I think this was the quickest I‘ve read a book all year. I could NOT put this book down. 5 stars all the way. Witty, romantic, sexy, fun. Nice light and easy read compared to some of the things I‘ve read this year. I didn‘t want it to end. Please pick this book up ASAP!

Things You Save in a Fire | Katherine Center
Pickpick

Wow.
This book has it all. Ups, downs, highs, lows, twists and turns. It's an emotional roller coaster that leaves you wishing for more.
The story follows Cassie, a 26 year old firefighter. She's tough, independent and strong. But is she as tough as she thinks she is? Can she forgive all the bad things people have done to her? Can she learn to trust anyone?

Definitely listen to this as an audiobook, Jen is hilariously entertaining and motivating. She definitely makes you want to get your crap together and live the life you want to live. The greatest takeaway is the notion to stop making excuses and doubting your greatness and do whatever you want to do in this life.

Fantastic coming of age story about a young girl named Kya, who is forced to grow up on her own and learn the ways of life. She goes through so many trials and tribulations but remains strong willed despite of everything handed to her. It did start out a little slow for me, but once the book got going it was hard to put down.

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis is a power anthem to women to get out of their own head and get into their life. It is a powerful, exactly what you need to hear, self-help book.
Rachel does a fantastic job of explaining her own trials and tribulations and making them relatable. She is truly inspiring and makes you want to be the best version of yourself.

The Nightingale | Kristin Hannah

captivating, raw and emotional book about two sisters during World War II.
The book follows Vianne, the older sister, married with child, and the younger rebellious sister, Isabelle. Although sisters they could not be more opposite, and living worlds apart. This book is a tough emotional read about what life was really like for French civilians. Would highly recommend this book to those who love historical fiction.

lissafraser I have to say that I loved this book. It was by far one of the best books that I have ever read!! Although I loved everything about it. My favorite part about the book was the family relationships. Kristin Hannah brings such depth to both of the sisters. I would recommend this book to anyone. But especially people that love historical novels.

Cfmamareads @lissafraser totally agree! I absolutely loved it. So heart wrenching, but she did such a great job. 5y
