pickI teach high school remedial reading and this book was in the collection the local teen librarian made for my classes. Only 1 student chose this during our “speed date a book” activity so I took it home and read it this weekend. OMG so good!!! It reminded me a lot of the movie Nerve. Very quick read, short chapters, and easy to get sucked in!
pickLOVED this Pendergast novel. Finally Preston & Child wrote another Pendergast story without including sci-fi as many do. My only minor complaint (which is partly a SPOILER) is that the plot line is very similar to the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” which I teach to my 9th graders. Aside from that, loved the book and can‘t wait for the next, especially after the epilogue with Constance!

pickNot my favorite Pendergast book, but not my least favorite either. It was a fast read and most of the books in this series are not.
