A refreshing short book that focuses on 4 important agreements in order not to be to hard on yourself and attract positivity. A must read if you feel overwhelmed and need a book to help you focus on what‘s really important in life.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

5⭐️ read
A book full of gems on how to increase your income weither you‘re working a 9@5 or self-employed. The author takes into consideration discrimination and systemic racism.

Both books are 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but I related more to one as a woman of color. I might both re-read them eventually and take notes there were a lot of gems.

The story was beautifully written. I don‘t read book résumés therefore I was pretty surprised by the storyline. The story of two black lightskin twins, one decides to live as a white woman and another as a black woman. Different lives, different struggles and different journey. A mix of colorism, gender and sex identity and racism.

Wow what a great read. She did a great job making a link between the Bible and real life experiences. Great book to read if you‘re feeling down and need something inspiring to read. I will probably re-read this book eventually. She totally opposite than her popular character of Insecure.

I really liked this book. Sometimes as humans we have this easiness to judge others without knowing what they are going through. I‘m including myself. This book opened my eyes about the life and the struggles of others.

I should‘ve read this book in my 20‘s I would‘ve learn so many things about life, priorities, patience towards myself and self care. Now that I‘m in my 30‘s this book is a useful reminder of my worth. It was a pleasant short read.

First read of the year. Sometimes we tend to be ungrateful for all the beautiful things present in our life. The book shows us how the feeling of regret can be harmful and devastating and the importance of moving on.

Interesting story, pretty fast pace. A woman, a mother, a wife who runs away every time she feels like it.

The story started great, plot twist through the story. I feel like the end let me down. The story had too much potential for this type of ending.

⭐️⭐️⭐️I listened to the audiobook, the author was speaking too fast. I did enjoy some parts of the book but I wouldn‘t suggest it, maybe if I knew the comedian I would have enjoyed the book.

Ouf! What a story, took me a while to finish, it was hard to read. Thank you Anthony for sharing your life with us readers. How could an innocent man lose all his life in prison and the only crime he committed was being black. One of my best read of 2022.

It might be my best read of this year

nichollinlove I just finished Carrie Soto and learned that all 4 of her latest books are connected or in the same universe. So there are Easter eggs throughout them. I didn't notice it until after the fact. But Evelyn's 3rd husband seems to be the biggest connection between 7 Husbands, Daisy Jones, Mailbu Rising and Carrie Soto 1y

Finishing the Micclain brothers series. A series of different black love story. Not too much drama but a little too unrealistic. Real love isn‘t always that easy to obtain and go through.

First day off starts with a book #holidayseason.
I hope it won‘t be the coldest winter ever hahaha get it ? 🤦🏾‍♀️

Nute I don‘t think that Sister Souljah gets enough attention for this series. I was so happy that this first book of the series got a listing on The Great American Read. 3y
BookDee @Nute did you liked the book, I felt like I was too old for the book and the behavior of Winter as a young black woman shocked me. Her relation with sex was so toxic. I guess that was the goal of the writer, a way for us to be aware that this exist. 3y

Particular in his own way type of book. I liked the choice of words used by the author. A dysfunctional relationship between two women that have a love-hate mother-daughter relationship
