I'm living a Stephen King novel this morning. Spooky ☠️

Day 8: #blackhistory #riotgrams My degree is in literature, and I thoroughly enjoyed my minority literature class. I live in Birmingham, Alabama, and we were able to take a mini field trip to the Civil Rights museum. I cried at least once, and I'll never forget the things I saw there. I would recommend visiting at least once in your life. 😔
Day 7: #mylocallibrary #riotgrams I don't visit my local library often, mostly because I work in a different city and my work hours are long. This is the last book I borrowed. On another note, my local library displayed my paintings when I was in high school. 🎨
Day 6: #currentread #riotgrams My boss insisted I read this one, and he raved about the series. It's so-so thus far, but I don't think I'll be finishing this series. However, my boss claims he can't put them down. To each their own!🇺🇸
Day 5: #BookishGoods #riotgrams I do wish an 18th Century Scottish warrior was calling me Sassenach most days. ☺️
Day 4: #FavoriteVillain #riotgrams It's hard to hate Wanderer when you can see that the Souls make the world a better place! This was a wonderful identity crisis. 👽
Day 3: #OneWordTitle #riotgrams I absolutely LOVED the Fablehaven series! I also loved them the second time around. This story will always stand out to me, and I can't wait to read them with my daughter one day 💕 A fantastic story with a strong (s)hero.
Day 2: #whereiread #riotgrams Do audiobooks count? I have a 2 hour commute to work, and I feel like I'm wasting time if I'm not listening to a book. It's a great way to visit old friends🤗
Day 1: #shelfie #riotgrams Does anyone else have a love for old books? My husband gives me a rare book for Christmas every year. This is my 14 volume first printing of Nathaniel Hawthorne's complete works 😍 Of course they have their own shelf.
"I have lived through war, and lost much. I know what's worth the fight, and what is not. Honor and courage are matters of the bone, and what a man will kill for, he will sometimes die for, too. And that, O kinsman, is why a woman has broad hips; that bony basin will harbor a man and his child alike. A man's life springs from his woman's bones, and in her blood is his honor christened. For the sake of love alone, would I walk through fire again."
"For where all love is, the speaking is unnecessary. It is all. It is undying. And it is enough."
You may not want to read this one in public, but you will certainly want to find a way to read it! This series takes place over only a few months, but it feels like I've spent years with these characters. I'm sad to see their story end, but I look forward to new books by Sylvia Day in the future.
The intricate plot and intriguing twists always keep me interested in this book. J.K. Rowling never disappoints, and her characters are as alive as you and I.
Gone with the Wind is a deeply touching look into a strong, flawed woman's heart. Scarlett O'Hara is a REAL and wonderful character to watch as she grows. Margaret Mitchell's writing makes every character multi-dimensional and interesting as she builds the fall of the Old South.
