I started a new job recently, my daughter is home for the summer, life has some complications right now, & I‘m having trouble settling in with books. pick4✨ I read this in almost one sitting. It was a really cute rom-com set at Christmas time. Most of the time we are at a book store which I completely enjoyed. There was quite a bit of characters, working in different locations as well that was hard at first to keep track of. Other than that I just smiled through the whole read. Forgot to post my review! I enjoyed this modern, urban retelling of Pride and Prejudice and I thought the author really captured the essence of Brooklyn. This was a pretty quick read so don‘t go into it with high hopes of deeply fleshed out characters as they were pretty one dimensional.
pick4✨Okay unpopular opinion: I don‘t like Pride and Prejudice. However, this book was awesome! Cultural differences are discussed and worked through. Romance is spot on what you would expect and the characters are much more enjoyable to me then the original it is trying to reflect. Read for #YABuddyRead @megnews
