I have way too many books on the go, so am literally literarily all over the place! 😂 But the one I‘m reading the fastest is the tagged book, set in a rest home outside of a Norfolk village in second half of the 20th century. A carer at the home befriends one of the patients and it turns out that both of them have secrets they are hiding.
This book is also one of my #10BeforetheEnd picks.
With Empress Sisi of Austria-Hungary at the restful Gödöllő Palace, enjoying time away from the restrictions of the Imperial court in Vienna (and being fussed over by dashing romantic rivals).

#WhereAreYouMonday I fell behind in the chapter a day pace with the rest of the #RandomClassic BR so I‘m still trudging in the snow on the way to Cutter Gap, Tennessee. I‘ll catch up soon. I‘m enjoying my first read of Christy.

Today I am in Micronesia. In Yanagihara‘s book it‘s the 1950s and a young doctor signs on with an anthropologist for an expedition to the remote Micronesian island in search of a rumored lost tribe. I joined them 😉

This Monday I‘m in Northern Germany, outside of Hamburg with a newly separated mother of a toddler and her eccentric Aunt Vera, who came to the village as an ethnic German refugee from what is now Poland after WWII. A bit romantic comedy, a bit family history, a bit satire on society, especially city life vs rural.
#WhereAreYouMonday I'm in Copenhagen with Phoebe and a surprise visit from her ex, Grace. So far, so wonderful.
