BRILLIANT. Absolutely brilliant. My thoughts and feelings are all over the place after reading this. I‘ve ventured down various rabbit holes and learned about Zen Buddhism, quantum mechanics (way over my head, my brain doesn‘t bend that way 😂), gobs of new words and terms I‘d never heard before. I‘m blown away and can‘t wait to read more Ozeki. WOW. @Sapphire @monalyisha

TrishB I love ‘gobs‘ of new words 😁 2y
Blaire Agree. I read this months ago and am still thinking about it. Ezra Klein interviewed her on his podcast. Worth listening to. 2y

Cinfhen Yay on the prompt and hurray for finding such a wonderful book 🎉 2y
HettyG Seconding the Ezra Klein interview and for sure don‘t miss The Book of Form and Emptiness, it was equally incredible! 2y
CBee @TrishB gotta love a chance to also use the word “gobs” 😂😊 2y
CBee @Blaire I will check it out for sure! I loved all of the extras at the end of the book. 2y
CBee @HettyG that one is on my #auldlangspine list and part of why I read A Tale first, just to get an introduction to Ozeki. I‘m so glad I did! 2y
CBee @Cinfhen yes! My 2023 is off to a great start reading-wise 😊😊😊 2y
Hooked_on_books I loved her most recent one, so I really need to go back and read this. 2y
CBee @Hooked_on_books yes, you should 😊 not one I‘ll soon forget! 2y
Amiable I have her most recent book in my pile and I‘m afraid to start it because I loved this one so much—I don‘t want the new one to disappoint me. Is that weird? 😬😀 2y
CBee @Amiable not weird at all! I have it too and will probably wait a month or two to read it! 2y
Megabooks I loved this too!! 😍😍 2y
Sapphire I think when you find an author that speaks to your soul, it‘s even better than finding a book you love. 2y
CBee @Sapphire agree! I feel that way about Fredrik Backman 😊 2y
Sapphire @CBee I just saw the Tom Hanks movie a man called Otto. A man Called Ove is my favorite Bachman so I was nervous but the movie does the book justice. Britt Marie was my second favorite. I know most like the bear town books but I didn‘t care for the second in that series. I have my grandmother said to tell you on my TBR and the movie made me want to get to that one soon 2y
CBee @Sapphire I can‘t wait to see the movie! Honestly, I‘d watch anything with Tom Hanks. I highly recommend My Grandmother…. Plus Anxious People was excellent! I read Beartown but can‘t seem to find the momentum to keep going, maybe one day! 2y
Sapphire I read Anxious people when it came out during the pandemic and loved it. I participated in an online author talk which was great because the author wasn‘t anything like I pictured him. The registration came with a signed first edition. I can see a movie being made from that one. I will probably get around to winners someday but I am not in a hurry. 2y
CBee @Sapphire oh wow, that‘s amazing! So jealous 😁 I think it would make a great movie too! 2y
