Today's match is The Life We Unmade. It's about a girl who remember her past life and the love of her life who followed her through it. I choose this book because she has flashbacks of her life after some sensory experience (a sight or smell of Ireland).
I originally rated the book as so-so.

When I saw today‘s card I immediately thought of tagged book. At first glance this seems like the antithesis to The Empress card, and it is. This gives an example of a society who has gone to extremes to repress and oppress the essence of The Empress. This is what a society might look like if The Empress was completely absent.

pickSometimes when I read a book and I can gauge how the story will end. The Empress is not that kind of book. I enjoyed reading the The Diabolic. I was not prepared for the book to end the way that it did. SJ Kincaid is officially one of my faves. #theempress #sjkincaid
Now Nemesis is human after she and Tyrus almost killed the interdict. She finally made love to Tyrus and that scene was beautiful and classy. Bravo! #theempress
