Murder with Lemon Tea Cakes | Karen Rose Smith
post image

Posting timely! 🤓🙂‍↕️

It‘s Sun eve & it‘s #hyggehappyhour or #hyggereadinghour or #hyggeforthewin … 😜 Just finished What Mother Won‘t Tell Me (3.5 ⭐️), and starting the tagged for #SeasonalCozies for May! (Mother‘s Day + tea 😉)

Also tried to read You Be Mother… did not enjoy it. Cut out at p. 100… maybe some feedback from #RealLifeBookGroup (rlbg) will persuade me to keep going. For now, a bail.

But read next month‘s #rlbg also: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😄

I have not read this series but it looks fun. Love all flavors of tea but especially spicy ones.

MissyD That series is cute and cozy. I enjoyed it. And I don‘t like tea 🤣. 13mo

Pickpick

I love the characters and tea shop in this series. I did figure out the “who done it and why”. I think the author commits the faux pas of having so many customers being overly complimentary to main character and her shop, just for her to be humble or so the author can describe something with dialogue instead of just describing it. But do want to return and read the next one.

The 25th in the series and I've read them all. At this point, Theodosia and Drayton feel like old friends and I love the setting in South Carolina. They are drawn into another murder investigation when the sister of their friend Delanie is killed at a fashion show that Theo and Drayton were catering. Lemon Curd Killer is a superb addition to this series. Remarkable characters and a masterful mystery, set in beautiful places all come together to make this book A Perfect Escape.

The tea, food, and fashion are always on point. The murder is always good. Theodosia however, has really started to annoy me with how many risks she takes and the fact that she never hits upon the murderer until just before they try to kill her.

I love this series, the plot was good in this one. One thing I really didn‘t like was how snarky all the characters were in this one. Two of the characters always have a playful sarcastic banter, but this was every character taking things the wrong way and being nasty and salty with each other. But it is still a good plot that kept the pages turning. #19822022 for 2013 @Librarybelle

Librarybelle I‘ve yet to read this series, which is odd, since there are so many! 2y
