Opinions needed!!! Who read this?? Good? Bad? Worth $5?? #talktome
annkuch13I heard that it's really problematic in talking about self harm and chronic pain.8y
annkuch13Oh and the trope that the bad guys/savage people are all dark skinned. So several problematic things.8y
LazyLibrary@annkuch13 I was reading some of the reviews on Goodreads and there seemed to be a small debate about that. And also the pace of the story. Some called it "too slow" and some called it "slow building anticipation"8y
annkuch13Yeah, I've seen there's been a good bit of debate on it. A lot of people of color found it problematic and I know a lot of spoonies who found the chronic pain rep problematic. And there was some really shady stuff with the publisher and sponsoring booktubers. They silenced the booktubers who had negative opinions and canceled thier contracts, which is unlike other sponsorships where they are allowed to say negative opinions.8y
