pickThis was a soft pick for me. Not usually my jam but I read it for #Bookriot #ReadHander challenge (task 14) and read it in one sitting. An interesting concept, it was compelling made me think about good and evil and right and wrong.
pickI had such a sudden urge to reread Death Note the other day, even though I‘m not a huge manga reader and I‘ve barely thought about this since school. It just popped into my head and I flew through jt and really loved it. Maybe I need to do a whole reread?
pickDeath Note, a notebook belonging to a Shinigami death god in hand, Light continues pursuing his goal. At first, Light punishes criminals who have gotten away with it/only received light sentences but as his activities draw attention, he casts a wider net. This is a cat & mouse thriller which has you rooting for the good guys AND the bad ones but it‘s also an interesting examination of the means justify the ends. Can good come from something bad?
My first manga! This series was recommended to me since I like mysteries and thrillers and I enjoyed it. The main character is a little cocky though

pickIt takes probably 15-20 pages before my brain readjusts to reading manga, but I love this series. This storyline had me pretty stressed out though. 😬
so-soHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh that was a satisfying ending. And I'm here only for the IN YOUR FACE moment. Ahhhh. Just for that I'm giving it a 3.5. I went from disliking the MC to not liking her at all LOL but I am curious about what exactly happened. It is a #duology so only a few more hours to go #fantasy #historical #japan #myths #shinigami
