pickThis one is a hard but necessary read. You can‘t go into it lightly—it takes heart and courage to read every page. I was a cutter many years ago but thankfully it never evolved into anything worse, and I was able to get away from the circumstances which had led me to do this to begin with. Many people suffer in silence and aren‘t able to get away. They deserve a voice and a village to keep believing in them.

pickThis book was very insightful. I found a lot of similarities in some of my struggles with these clients. Its a good “you aren't alone“ and “you are heard“ type of book. I wish there were more of a “what do do now“ other than all the hard work of therapy. Ha! Why can't we take a magic pill? Its hard to not get discouraged when you “hide“ a bit piece of yourself from others.

Lots of intensity this morning
pick1st time reading this author. The pace of it at 1st is pretty slow. It took me a while to get into it. I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed it. I think all who deal with this issue, & their families should read it. I don't think it's a trigger. Not graphic at all. It's about how she feels & how she copes. How the author develops the protagonist, portrays to perfection the pace & mood of the majority who endure such a practice. It deserves a read!
