I picked the 1931 version of Dracula with Bela Lugosi for my #scarepair for week 1‘s #Screamthon challenge, because I hadn‘t seen it. It‘s not much of a scare, lol. It‘s only 75 minutes long so a lot of the book was left out and also a couple of main characters. Harker doesn‘t go to Transylvania, Renfield does. Dr. Seward is Mina‘s father in the movie. There are several other changes.
Bookzombie Also, there is a shot of a possum crawling into a coffin. I think they were used to look like large rats. There is another shot with armadillos. I looked it up and both of those animals appear to live only in North and South America and not in Transylvania. 3y
