Love the early evening sun on this adorable cat and I very much enjoyed this book. Made me laugh, made me cry a tear or two, or maybe a few of those taken-by-surprise hit to the chest teariness, ya know? Poor decisions have consequences and sometimes overcoming fears have fabulous results. Found-family stories are my jam.

Pickpick

The serendipity of baseball and aging engulfs this short narrative about an estranged father and son that reads like a Vin Scully anecdote between pitches of an at bat. Grisham‘s story won‘t change your life, but - like a good ball game - makes for a nice couple of hours.

Am loving this book! Enjoyed T‘s birthday party last night ( band was 🔥) and TODAY is International Day of Tolerance… Reading along when this book has the word TOLERANCE so I made this collage. #PettyCash Roadtripping back home now.

BkClubCare @Suet624 - I can be your pie coach! 🤣🤩 I support starting easy: use the rollout pie dough first until you are ready to try your own pastry dough… 😊💪 1mo

Suet624 I‘d have to move the books and Lyme support supplements out of my oven before I did anything. That feels daunting. 1mo

I'm posting the #BookScavengerHunt prompts in order & today is 'Horns'.

I really enjoyed the film - Angelina Jolie was fantastic in the role This book is the written novelisation.

This was a light hearted magical rom-com with all the best bits — enemies to lovers, forced proximity, humour and silliness and spice. And yet…somehow also managed to be a very insightful look at abusive relationships, self-awareness and working to be a better person, and racial politics. This book was a bit of a ride, but I enjoyed every second of it.

Mehso-so

Rough around the edges & crude, this book follows the lives of a community in small town Montana. It‘s funny, but also sad and depressing. Softball, drugs, alcohol, sex….bad religion, abusive/neglectful parents… friendship. The death at the end hits hard.
