The Thing Around Your Neck | Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

There is overlap in the follow, but this gives me a start of 3 books for #LitsyAtoZ, 4 for #readharder2017, and 2 for #readingNobelwomen.

I also had to bail on the audio for To The Lighthouse. The narrator's voice was soothing and kept distracting me from the story. Gonna pick it up in print later. Changed to The Thing Around Your Neck.

A beautiful collection from one of the Nobel Laureates in Literature. These madwomen are mad but not insane, they are angry, fierce, broken, and so many more things. I love this edition because it has both the translated English for me to read and the original Spanish versions. It also has a short biography is Mistral, which was nice. #readingNobelwomen

My library hold finally came through for this one! It bumps some of my other goals for the month but I've been waiting for it forever! #readingnobelwomen

I've been #readingNobelWomen and this one was AMAZING. It's not a memoir, it's her writing throughout her struggle. I had too many feels and thoughts to go into one post so I wrote a full review here: http://wp.me/p6D5Ti-3nD
Then I also posted what might be considered a rant but I called a stream of consciousness here: http://wp.me/p6D5Ti-3ov
The book was so good. Do yourself a favor and read it.
