I am greatly enjoying the narrator in #rabbitcake #galleyclub @tin_house

This is a charming book about a girl and her family recovering from her mother's death. It is more lighthearted than that sounds, as Elvis (yep, she's a girl) tries to come to terms with the whys of loss. She is intelligent, curious and a total individual. It took me a few chapters to get into it, but once I did, this is a fun, quirky book with a talking parrot, an odd taxidermy statue, and many cakes shaped like rabbits. 🐰#RabbitCake
