I finally read it! Loved it. 😍 Can't wait for October so I can check out other volumes from Hoopla. #comics #parentingishard ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I need to have some more open conversations with our kids, mostly the 5yo, about body parts and privacy so I looked to books (as you do). This book is great in its diversity but makes me a little uncomfortable in it's gender rigidity. Published in 2011, so not that old, it still seems dated regarding gender. I wish it had said every baby is born with girl parts or boy parts instead of saying each baby is either a girl or a boy.
It's one of the better parenting books I have read. There may not be huge life altering knowledge and solutions, but it breaks down what a child may be going through and ways to help the family through it. Good information, simply told and in a light-hearted way. #Parenting #ParentingIsHard #ParentingBooka #BooksHaveAllTheAnswers
