Between a couple book store visits and some book mail, I have quite a haul today
pickSinclair‘s parents are Las Vegas royalty. His father is an illusionist and his zombie mother is her husband‘s assistant. When Sin‘s mother is kidnapped, the family must pull together to find her. They are successful but Sin‘s mother needs a blood transfusion, which only can be provided by Jayne. Sin‘s mother receives some of Jayne‘s snow elf powers.
pickIt is an unlikely love story that crosses into the unknown and I absolutely loved it. The love of my life passed away and I like to think he's still with me as the quote from the book says, “And I‘ll love you when we‘re young, and I‘ll love you when we‘re old, and I‘ll love you when we‘re gone.” I listened primarily on audiobook but followed along on kindle when I was at home.

The cold front is coming through here and very windy. So I decided to come out on the porch to read some more. I have missed being able to do that! Of course reading ghost stories in the dark probably wasn't the smartest choice 🤣

Currently reading this collection of short creepy stories of Texas. I love these sort of books and the author has published quite a few.

so-soUpfront I‘ll say I‘m a skeptic…I WANT to believe in ghosts and psychics, but I don‘t think I do. And this author‘s constant claims to have psychic abilities, backed up by only the flimsiest of evidence, annoyed me.
Take all that out, though, and this is a fun compilation of stories, akin to those “America‘s Most Haunted” specials on The Travel Channel (which I LOVE to binge watch during spooky season), and the perfect Halloween read.
