Making progress!

Set in the true historical horror of the WWII Japanese internment camps, this is atmospheric and hallucinogenic. It‘s also perfect for readers of historical fiction. Its undercurrents of horror, both human and supernatural, add a twist that hits all too close to home. Katsu draws on family experiences, colored by her own perspective on the last few years in the US. Excellent!

A lovely cover image for this audiobook. And Rosamund Pike was a surprisingly excellent narrator. This definitely is one of my favorite versions.

A great Star Wars middle grade read. Vernestra, Imri, Avon, J-6 & Honesty are on a luxury liner headed to Starlight Beacon when bombs start going off. Vernestra who is a newly made Jedi knight & Imri a padawan help the others escape & then end up stranded on uninhabited planet.
