AutumnRLS As someone with chronic health issues that they can't really pin point, Diagnosis sounds interesting. :) 5y

BarbaraTheBibliophage @LitLogophile Come join us—or just live vicariously. @Riveted_Reader_Melissa and I always post a lot of quotes! 6y
Slajaunie I have studies some anthropology and I had never heard that. Interesting. 6y
ChristieWitch @Slajaunie I would think they are referring to the various species of humans in terms of paleolithic man (neanderthal, homo habilis, etc.) We don't always consider them as a separate human species but they have significant changes to physiology, brain capacity and cognition, etc. (I have a minor in anthropology 😊) 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ChristySevern @Slajaunie “The cradle of humanity continued to nurture numerous new species, such as Homo rudolfensis, ‘Man from Lake Rudolf‘, Homo ergaster, ‘Working Man‘, and eventually our own species, which we‘ve immodestly named Homo sapiens, ‘Wise Man‘.” 6y
ChristieWitch @BarbaraTheBibliophage ❤❤ It's been awhile I couldn't remember the rest lol I took human evolution during my UG and learned about each one but that was like 4 yrs ago 😇😊 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ChristySevern There are a few others too. Either way, you‘re ahead of me. But this is why I read! 6y
ChristieWitch @BarbaraTheBibliophage Read away! Early man is an interesting period in human history 💓 my son will fight anyone who denies human evolution now because I would tell him about the things I learned in class 😂 6y
AnimalRiotPress This book was so amazing that we did our first podcast about it! Hope you like it! 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I was an anthropology student! I‘m so excited to read this. I‘ll be diving in as soon as I finish 6y
