Most of my companion animals over the years have been named after Jane Austen characters, and these two dorks are no exception. Elliot and Tilney have to be so cute, to make up for their general bratty behavior (she says after being woken up at 5:45 this morning by a extremely vocally hungry Tilney). Love them anyway. 😹😸😻 #catsoflitsy
I love cats. But alas my Mr. Darcy does not. From time to time I look at Rescue sites and dream of kitten like this one. I would name it Jane Pawsten. Until then I love Book Cats like Footnote: "Normally the chair was Footnote‘s but the cat ceded it to her on the understanding that she would compensate by providing her lap. Arsenic dutifully compensated." ?

I wanted to name these two Mister Darcy and Miss Bennett, but the hubs wanted to keep the names the Humane Society gave them, Oscar and Darla. Yuck right?! 😂 Since they are his cats, I acquiesced. #namesakes #austeninaugust @Crinoline_Laphroaig

I have a cat named Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy. Some things to know:
1. My daughter thinks my cat is a jerk, but I tell her he‘s just misunderstood.
2. The other people that live with us call him ‘Fitz‘ because apparently I am ‘a nerd.‘
3. While they are both exhibiting lovely bedroom eyes above, the Mr. Darcy on the right does not come with 10k a year.
