Ice Guy and Cool Girl, volume 2
I enjoyed meeting several more of the coworkers, including a couple who are descendants of the fox and phoenix spirits ☺️ It‘s a fun volume.

I am constantly impressed with my scholars and what they read. I have a front row seat window on their experiences with reading and how it changes them for the better. Teaching is hard…but the conversation about books and the way they light makes it all worthwhile.
The bulk of this volume was Konosuke and Ichiko having to deal with different characters trying to get them but mostly dealing with a new character Madara, who can control bugs.
Personally I hate bugs so cheers to Ichigo for doing what she does even as I sympathize with Madera thanks to her backstory. All in all Madara's backstory introduces more of the overall arc and I think someone we'll see again later as the story moves forward.

This was exactly what I thought it was going to be and not. The Dark Lord and slime are great characters. The banter between the two definitely has me wanting to continue in the series. I like that we‘re traveling from village to village and having the dark lord reflect on his actions. The exercise bit was kind of weird but I went along with it because I want to see what would happen next.

On we go with Yu and Chi. Just as lovely as the first volume. Yes, the setting is rather dystopian, but the protagonists are nothing else than cute and innocent. There's a lot of slapstick and the manga made me laugh a lot. But since I'm not that musical, I preferred the anime episode of the rain scene to the one in the manga.
Back home from visiting the family. Time to resume my readings ❤️📚☺️

I had a good feeling about this series and I‘m happy that I enjoyed the first volume. I love our MFC and the male lead is psychotic in an entertaining way. I do wish they aged the characters up just a little bit for the dynamics of the story but that might just be a cultural difference. This has definitely caught my attention enough to want to keep reading the rest of the series.

I liked this one. Dystopia where humans have turned into insects & feed off humans. So🤢
It bills itself a mix of Mad Max & Attack on Titan. I‘ve never seen that latter but feel free to clue me in.
Action-heavy shonen. There may also be an anime of the series.
6 volumes total I think? I am checking out volume 2.
